Uber expensive. Also, they charged me just to come out and look at the job I needed done. I made the appointment with a live body and they did not bother telling me there was a trip charge. No other company charged a trip charge.

Had a problem with some can lights in my kitchen, which were burning out regularly, and I thought there was a wiring problem. Found these folks through Angie's List; Mike came out quickly and figured out the issue immediately - showed me the problem, and fixed it all within about 30 minutes (had to replace a bunch of lights). I would highly recommend these folks.

I have used Mr. Electric of McKenny for a number of projects on both my home and a rental property in Plano. I could not be more happy with their service and professionalism. Just today Rusty and Jamie came out to look at an electrical issue at my home. They diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Great work, clean up and both Rusty and Jamie are great people. You just know they both care about doing a great job for their customers. I have worked with James also who is a real pro as well. When I first used them at my rental property to replace a full electrical panel, the City of Plano inspector said it was one of the best panel installs he had seen. Everything installed very neat and organized. Just wanted to recognize their great service as I know how hard it is to find company's you can trust. Mr. Electric of McKenny with James, Rusty and Jamie is a company you can have confidence in.

DONT USE MR ELECTRIC MCKINNEY. You will only be shocked. I had a very simple job and requested a quote. This guy named Michael comes out and gives me a quote for almost $1,200.00. It was completely ridiculous and this guy tells me I am going to pay the same no matter what licensed electrician I call. After Michael got the hell out of my house the first electrical company I called guaranteed that they would do the same identical job for $ 279.00. That is proof positive that Mr Electric is ripping people off.

I am a returning customer of Mr. Electric. Jamie and Rusty arrived in masks and completed a light fixture replacement. They were on time, quick, and even cleaned up! The same team replaced 3 ceiling fans earlier this year, and did an amazing job.

On a side note, they noticed my husband left his gas cap open. They closed it, and I appreciated their help.

I would recommend Mr. Electric to anyone who wants an insured electrician to provide service! Ask for Rusty & Jamie. They are a husband and wife team, and go over and beyond!

Really hokey business. The website says free estimate however the girl who answered said $39. Ok fine. The they asked like 10 questions like were we getting other estimates, are you the decision maker, are you ready to commit to work...ok they don't want to waste time I said. Booked a estimate an 30 minutes later got a call saying I requested a quote online. Huh? So called back number and was told nobody called and assured it must of been a mistake. Ok fine. Hung up and got another call from the same lady again. Hokey business and reading the other comments this place reminds me of mr handyman whom I will never ever use again because they overcharged me.

I had a 18 bulb chandelier that all the bulbs would not light. The probability all 18 would burn out most all would agree is close to zero. Had Mr Electric come out because the wall switch was new and thus perhaps other issues an electrician should deal with. The chandelier is high up in entrance hall of home which takes only an 8 foot ladder to get to. I would have checked the bulbs myself. However, all I talked to agreed that all 18 bulbs burning out at one time is near zero and something else is issue. Mr Electric came out and first thing was unscrewed a light bulb and replaced it with a new one I already had. Sure enough, it worked and thus all 18 were burned out. This all took about 10 minutes. I felt foolish it was such an obvious issue. The electrician then handed me a bill for $194.00. I said is that really the minimum you charge for actually no work involved and came by my home because Mr Electric was near by and had jobs they were working. Thus not much of an effort to drop by my house. Electrician, who was a nice guy and professional, said he had no choice because that $194 is minimum he must charge even if there are not issues or repairs required. I will never use Mr Electric again and will not recommend them. I expected to pay for a house call, but this cost was outrageous. Since I get asked often from those in my neighborhood who I would recommend as an electrician, it will not be Mr Electric.

Jeff has been out to our new home twice to do some work needed to hang our TVs. He is a great guy and did an excellent job wiring two different areas that were tricky to access. He even stepped up and pulled the AV wiring through to the locations when our AV contractor couldn't figure it out. Was able to solve their problem for them. We will definitely call him next time we need something!
