DO NOT USE MR ELECTRIC !! Scammer or crooks??!! They installed a EV outlet for my home 500 over - I paid. The electrician said I would need a surge box depending on if I went with regular plug in or a charger. They said it would cost me 100-150 more. Called them back for the surge box and charged me another 500. Originally, I wanted to switch my light plates in my home and they quoted 700. When they returned the second time for the surge box, he said the switch plate replacement for all my outlets would be 2k ( from 700 quote). Obviously I declined the 2k job. Additionally, the second guy that came was on his phone the entire repair 20 minutes max. I have it on video. Called customer service. The lady told me that they would come check his work as I was not confident of how proper was his repair (on the phone the entire time) . Multiple calls with the lady and absolutely nothing. I never ever seen them or heard of them again. I have not used the repair they did to charge my car. I charge my car elsewhere. They are ruthless with pricing. They ripped me off. DO NOT GIVE YOU BUSINESS to them unless you like being scammed!! Used both the Plano & McKinney locations. No shame in their game. Who controls these businesses? Running wild ripping people off left and right. Insane!!!!

Beware! Mr. Electric charged us $630 to diagnose and replace a light fixture in laundry room. Diagnostic fee of $327 ( originally quoted at $285) was not rolled into installing new light fixture. We were charged $275 to install new light fixture, which I went out to buy. That is the first time a service provider has been to our house and the diagnostic fee was not waived when repair or new installation was made. I was shocked when the technician showed me the charges on her tablet. The technician took less than 45 minutes to diagnose and then install new light fixture. Imagine paying over $600 for less than an hour of work. We immediately reached out to Mr Electric to review the charges and get some explanation. We did talk to a supervisor who understood our concerns, and was our intermediary with Mr Electric management. They communicated through text that they would credit our bill $125, that was a week ago, and nothing has happened, and they will not return our calls. We will not go quietly and wanted to share our experience with other potential customers. Not happy with value of Mr Electic service and with their customer service. Get pricing up front! Call someone else.

I have used Mr. Electric a few times and recommended them to my friends and step daughter. Last week I had Rusty and Jamie come to do a couple of jobs, one of which was to install a whole house surge protector. They are both very professional and know their business. Plus, they are both very friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them for any electrical needs you may have. I give them an A+!!!! Jerry

Needed some outlets upgraded to 20 amp, an outside outlet, and an upgraded panel. The quote was great, and the electrician, Joshua, was quick, efficient, timely, and great! Work was completed before estimated completion time. No issues at all.

Cannot praise the electrician and Mr. Electric of Mckinney enough. Would use and recommend them in a heartbeat!

Tuesday comes around and I confirm my appointment for Wednesday. So I take the day off work to make sure I'm there from 12 - 4 as was confirmed. 2:45 comes around and a get a call that they are too busy and have to cancel. I tell them I took off work for this! He says sorry and he'll try and reschedule for Saturday. I have been waiting for two hours and they haven't called me back! I lost a lot of money taking off work and for nothing! They didn't even try to reschedule. Horribly unprofessional. 0 stars.

I called several companies to have a Tesla charger installed and I went with Mr Electric of Mckinney. I am so glad I did as well. Jeff did a fantastic job and was courteous from the start! I asked so many questions while he was working but he was patient while he answered them.

I'm pleased with the outcome of the job and how neatly it looks. He completed the warranty paperwork and set up the charger on the WiFi.

A+++ service. I definitely recommend Mr Electric of McKinney and I will call them for all future electrical needs.

Uber expensive. Also, they charged me just to come out and look at the job I needed done. I made the appointment with a live body and they did not bother telling me there was a trip charge. No other company charged a trip charge.

Had a problem with some can lights in my kitchen, which were burning out regularly, and I thought there was a wiring problem. Found these folks through Angie's List; Mike came out quickly and figured out the issue immediately - showed me the problem, and fixed it all within about 30 minutes (had to replace a bunch of lights). I would highly recommend these folks.
