They did not come at the 2 hour window they said. I called. They said they would be here in 30 minutes to an hour. They weren't!! The electrician could have called! We canceled. And will call a more reliable electrician.

Jonathan from Mr. Electric came by today and installed a ceiling fan with remote in my home office. It was an absolutely stress free experience. I've been putting off installing that fan for 2 years due to limited time. So glad to know that Mr. Electric is around and available for these types of projects!

I am changing my review to add one star because I spoke with Angeles Zayas and she was nice on the phone and gave me her side of the story. However, I still have questions about this business. I had originally given them one star because they advertise ""licensed electricians"" but they sent an unlicensed tech to my house.

In May, my bathroom light would not come on and it was after hours, and I needed to use the bathroom to get ready very early the next morning, so I called Mr. Electric because they advertise ""licensed electricians"" and have 24-hour service. They sent an unlicensed tech, Jonathan Zayas, to my home, which I didn't realize until he gave me his business card after he did the work. I looked him up on the GA state licensing website, and he does not have an electrician license.

Angeles Zayas today explained that GA state law allows unlicensed electricians to do electrical work if they are working under a licensed electrician. She said the licensed electrician under whom Mr. Electric of Columbus, GA operates is John Hales. I asked how Mr. Hales is involved in the company, and she said he does work for the company and trains the workers such as Mr. Zayas. However, I looked up Mr. Hales and he is licensed, but his address is listed as being in Augusta, GA which is nearly 4 hours' driving distance from Columbus, GA. I'm not sure how someone who is a 4-hour drive away is actively working for, supervising and training the people who work for this company? To me, this does not add up, which is why I am giving a 2-star rating. If Mr. Hales had been in Columbus, GA, I may have added one more star.

I would love to know exactly how Mr. Hales is involved in this business from four hours away. To me, putting a person who lives four hours away as the licensee looks like a loophole so the company can say it is following GA state law.
