Review of Mr. Electric of Columbus, GA
On Friday, 3/30/2024, we began experiencing issues with some electrical items, i.e., microwave, A/C unit, washer/dryer, hot water heater, vacuum cleaner, and some lights. The dryer was going through all of the cycles, but was not heating in order to dry the clothes. The A/C unit was ""blowing"", but was not cooling. The microwave light was on and the plate was rotating, but it was not heating food. Some lights would ""flicker"" and even go out when different appliances were used.
The Georgia Power Company came to our home on 3/30/2024 and again on 3/31/2024, to determine if the issue was on their end or our end. I was informed by two of their technicians that the issue was on our side and that our home was not getting full power. The breaker box component on the outside pole had to be replaced. I informed all of the electrical contractors I spoke to as to the issue Georgia Power Company had determined. Despite knowing what the issue was, the electrical contractors I spoke with would not return my calls or were booking appointments two or more weeks out! We could not cook, wash/dry clothes, or even have hot water to wash our hands.
This same day, we received a return call from CiCi with Mr. Electric of Columbus and was able to schedule an appointment for Friday, 4/5/2024. Pedro F. Santiago, Luis Santiago, and Luis B. arrived promptly as scheduled and began accessing this issue immediately. Pedro had the same findings as the Georgia Power Company. The power coming to the pole/breaker box registered 247, but the power going out to our home registered at only 1! Pedro explained, in detail, what repairs were required in order to get full power to our home and to alleviate our fear of a possible fire in our home. Pedro's main focus was to ensure our safety and peace of mind. Pedro took care of obtaining the permits from Harris County, GA, coordinating a date and time with the Georgia Power Company to cut off the power for the repairs to be done and back on afterwards, and kept in constant contact regarding this process. Pedro provided contact telephone numbers so we would be able to reach him if there were any other problems at any time of the day or night. On April 12, 2024, Pedro completed the repairs, which included a new pole and a new outside breaker box that meets with current county regulations. He also installed a surge protector for the entire household!
On Friday, April 19, 2024, Pedro and Lee arrived at our home to move the security light to the new pole in order for us to have an ample light source for the safety of our ""fur babies"". Moving the security light was not in our original agreement, but Pedro wanted to ensure we were content with the repairs and were safe in our home. After Lee completed this aspect of the project, he cleaned the entire work area and removed all of the debris. It was as if they were never there at all.
I think the main points that stand out about this company are their knowledge, their care and concern for the safety of their clients, and making sure that their clients are satisfied with the job. I also think Mr. Electric of Columbus goes above and beyond to ensure their clients are constantly kept up to date with the job and have a way to contact them if there is a problem. If there is an issue with another project that results in an arrival delay, both the office staff and Pedro will contact you.

The owner came by on Monday to look at the job and give me an estimate. The price was fair and the work was scheduled for just two days later the crew arrived and completed the work very quickly and very professionally. They even did a great job of cleaning up the debris. I highly recommend Mr. Electric. This is the fourth time that they have done work for me. Each time they have provided remarkable service.

Luis and Luis , installed new fixtures in our house . They did a beautiful job on all of them. Luis put together my chandelier in the dining room and in the closet.

They did not come at the 2 hour window they said. I called. They said they would be here in 30 minutes to an hour. They weren't!! The electrician could have called! We canceled. And will call a more reliable electrician.

Excellent staff, technicians were extremely courteous and respectful of my home. The quality of their work was outstanding. I have hired them 3 times this year. Twice for electrical work and once for plumbing from the handy man service of their company.
