I was upset to find I was being price gouged and taken for a ride. Instead of addressing the electrical problem I was encountering , I was given a huge list of repairs and upgrades needed. I immediately got a second opinion and was so relieved by what they had to say, turns out I needed what I already knew about, and only one other minor replacement.
I would compare this to when you go to a corporate chain dental office, and they create a huge treatment plan for the whole works, replacement crowns, implants, gum surgery etc etc but it's NOT NECESSARY and I never am going to do business with a place with this as their concept. I wish there was a zero stars option.

I called mr Electric to come out to replace a circuit breaker. When they arrived they charged me $229 and after a brief review they told me I would have to replace my square d panel for $5,000!. I was SHOCKED and about 30 after they left they came back and said they would replace the panel for $2900!
I could not believe that they would take advantage of us in this manner.
I immediately called another electrician company in Columbia sc and they came out and replaced my circuit breaker. ONLY. which did the job! and labor plus a new breaker costs me only $220!

I cannot recommend this company to anyone since our encounter with them last week when all I got for the $229 visit was nothing but a recommendation to replace our entire breaker panel for $2,900 to $5,000 whitch was not needed according to another electrical company!!!

I was very satisfied with the work and the price, Rick Goncalve did a great job. So much so I offered him a tip to buy lunch. He would not take it he explained he was just going his job. Wow you don't hardly see that anymore. again thanks so much Allen Williams

Great customer service and friendly, knowledgeable technicians. They are respectful and timely. This is the 2nd time using them. I called late on Thursday afternoon regarding a non-emergent situation and they had someone out to our house first thing Friday morning. Will use again.

Had a dead outlet. I checked all breakers, nada. Josh arrived and in less that 10 seconds found that an unknown light switch had been turned off. We just moved in.....and the switch is behind a door! Problem solved, NO charge! You just don't find neighborly help like this anymore. I will be using Mr. Electric for all my work going forward! Thanks Josh, y'all are awesome.

Absolutely awesome, a little/a lot on the pricey side, but well worth the extra money hands-down. I have used them twice now, and have asked for Josh, who is absolutely fantastic. I will definitely call on them again for any electrical issues. And, my three German Shepherd's absolutely love him.

Mr. Electric sent Electrician Alex to service my electrical issue and he did a superb job diagnosing and correcting the problem. One of the many things I appreciated was his ability to clearly articulate to me what and why he was conducting various procedures. All in all a great repair at a reasonable price!

I was charged $195.50 for 10 minutes at my house. I was having a ceiling fan issue, which just turned out to be an incorrect replacement light switch. The Technician, who was very nice, simply put the original switch back in and checked the wires at the ceiling and all was ok. The technician could have just charged me a service charge of $75-$100 but instead charged me $195.50. This amount was excessive for the job done. I talked with Jeremy at the office and he said it was the minimum amount they could have charged. They have discretion, when a job is less than than expected. I was a previous customer and told Jeremy that exceptions could have been made in my charges. He said the technician was there for an hour but he wasn't. He was in my home for 10 minutes and then sat in his van out front so he was able to claim 1 hour. I feel taken advantage of by Mr. Electric.
