I have had work done by Mr. Electric before and was very satisfied, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I had an appointment scheduled. I received a call at the end of that period informing me that the electrician was behind and wouldn't be coming. They rescheduled to first thing next day. Electrician showed up at 9:15 that day and said he could not do the work that day due to other appointments. They then gave a quote that was more than twice what other company provided. We went with other company and are very happy with work.

We called several electricians before calling Mr. Electric of Bradenton. Several never returned our call or called back days later to say they were too busy. We were able to schedule an appointment in a reasonable time frame. Jay was on time and very professional. He and his son have done work at our restaurant a few times now. I appreciate his professionalism and quality of work.

Most recently, Mr. Electric did not complete a fixture installation properly and failed to install a new electric line outdoors as agreed to per their estimate. 1) We paid them to install a new box for chandelier and rerun the current wires to the new box. Instead they installed a link from one box to the other and left all of the live wires in the old box. The intent was to fill/patch the original hole in the ceiling BUT with the box in place with wiring, we were unable to do so. Mr Electric claimed our wires in the attic weren't long enough to rerun as we requested. After they left, we checked the wiring in the attic and they were not telling us the truth. There was plenty of wire to rerun properly. Their laziness was the cause of this issue. 2) Outdoor receptacle for grill- After waiting for an appointment for almost a month, two electricians arrived unprepared to do the work. We pointed out that the outdoor cabinets would be installed soon and needed the electric work done first. They said it would be easier for them to install the electric AFTER the cabinets were installed since it had to be connected to the cabinet. Cabinets were installed and when one electrician finally came back after waiting for almost a month again, he said, ""How am I supposed to install a new box with the cabinets in place?"" He also claimed that the box could not be placed adjacent to an outdoor fridge which we now know is also NOT TRUE. We have called numerous times to discuss, sent emails, left messages and the owner will not return our calls. MR ELECTRIC OVERCHARGED US FOR WORK AND DID NOT COMPLETE AS DISCUSSED. THEY HAVE BEEN A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!
