We called Mr. Electric and they came out same day. Two of our smoke detectors were peeping. The technician replaced them, their was a charge and we paid it. Today the manager called me and stated that they were still under warranty and he was refunding me all of the money we paid the technician.
Wow, what a blessing that is to us. And Wow what a company that does that. Honest company and Honest people!! Thank you.

I called four days in advance and scheduled an appointment to have a ceiling fan installed in my home on 4/7. I also was set up for AM appointment time. The operator confirmed my appointment and sent me a text message with the confirmation for the said appointment. All morning long on 4/7, I waited for a phone call from the dispatcher which I was told would come 30 to 45 minutes prior to the technician dispatching. Unfortunately, I never received a call telling me that a dispatcher was on the way and instead I received a call from an operator at Mr. Electric, notifying me that I was still on the scheduled for a technician to come out To my home today however due to unforeseen events, my appointment was pushed back to the evening time. I verified with the operator what constituted as evening time hours and was told that it was between the hours of 12 PM and 4 PM she reassured me that a technician was going to come to my home today, 4/7. After no technician had contact me, and it was almost 3 PM and then proceeded to call Mr. electric to verify if an electrician really was coming to install my ceiling fan I was Told by the person Who picked up the phone After being placed on hold that it did not look like any technician will be coming to my home today, due to all the dispatchers going to one house in the entire city of Birmingham and surrounding areas to help with the persons power being out. I found that very interesting seeing as how Alabama power is responsible for providing power to homes however, this person continued to state that no one could come out and then I would have to then reschedule my appointment for next week. Livid, I told that the operator that the whole reason why we scheduled this appointment was because our house is about to be placed on the market next week and therefore we could not wait to have a technician come out next week. The operator then proceeded to tell me that the earliest he can have someone come out would be Monday morning. Knowing that this was nothing more than just another runaround from this incompetent and ridiculous company, I told the guy I would have to check with my husband as I was going out of town and would not be available on Monday and also this would still infringe upon our timeframe for placing our house on the market as we were having photographers come over on Monday to take pictures of our home. I spoke with my husband, and he did say that he would be here however when I told The operator I told him that we I needed to make sure that someone was indeed coming out that day and I wanted to know if I was going to be offered any discount for the horrific inconveniences that they placed us in as I could have very well found another electrician but instead Mr. Electric made sure that it was the end of the day when most companies were ending their day and likely no one was going to be able to come out to install the ceiling fans to notify me that no technician was coming to my home to install the fan that I had placed an appointment for four days in advance! The operator answered as if he did not hear my request for a discount and just said that he could have someone come out at 8:30. I told him that we no longer want their services and hung up the phone. If you want to be treated as if you are scum and like you're not worth anything then go right ahead and hire this company to come and install or do any electrical work for your home. I guarantee that they won't show up on time and they won't provide you with good service. They have false advertisement for being a neighborly company as there is nothing neighborly about them! This was my first and LAST time consulting them for any electrical issues needed at my home.

Always outstanding service, efficient and friendly. The tech, Nick, is a joy to work with. I certainly could not be more pleased. We have never had a bad experience with Mr. Electric.

Called to get a quote on installing an EV charging outlet installed in my garage. They made an appointment and on the day of the appointment I got a called saying they finished another appointment early and they could come early if I was available.

Tony from Mr.Electric showed up exactly when they said he would show up, did an inspection of the electrical system of my home, and gave me a reasonable quote. He offered to correct a couple things they saw while doing the inspection. I decided to fix one thing but leave the other things for another day. He understood and didn't try to upsell it again.

Tony was quick in installing the EV charging outlet and correcting the things I said I wanted to correct and overall keep me informed during the entire appointment.

Overall a pretty good experience

I had called Mr. Electric over a year ago to fix an issue with our switch breakers, and the technician they sent out did a great job and was well worth the money, in my opinion. So, a couple months ago, I called them again to install some recessed lighting. Things were different this time...

The person they sent out, while he seemed knowledgeable, up-sold us like crazy. What was a simple request was suddenly ballooning into loads of extra stuff, including replacing the outside panel (even though there was nothing wrong with it), and replacing fire alarms, replacing ALL the light switches, putting extra surge protectors on everything, etc. While some of this seemed like a good idea, and in the end I agreed to some of it, this bill was quickly creeping up over $5000 for things I didn't ask for to begin with. Thankfully, I took some time to ask a relative who is an electrician about the outdoor panel upgrade (the most expensive item), and he informed me that it was way overkill for a normal residential usage. Thank goodness I stopped them from doing the work before paying for that portion!

They did install the lights, and the lights do work, so no complaint there. They did damage the drywall in the ceiling, though, from shoving those lights so hard that the drywall buckled at its seams (I was there and watched), so it now has a mild wavy buckle to the ceiling that wasn't there before. I know for a fact it wasn't wavy before because I spent hours scraping popcorn off the ceiling when the house was first purchased - I am intimately familiar with this ceiling. We spent ages having people come out and look at it, etc. and they never admitted to the damage, so I just gave up. It's a mild waviness that's very hard to see unless you look from the right angle, so it's not worth fighting over at the end of the day.

However, what has REALLY put me off is the massive up-selling. That's just awful, because now I can never trust them again - how would I ever know if I was being ripped off? It's really a shame, because my first experience was so good, and I had really thought I'd found a great company I could use for the foreseeable future, but now I'm going to have to find someone else to handle my future electrical needs.

Awesome customer service! Good price. Our electrician, Justin was the best. Very knowledgeable, extremely professional. We had an outlet stop working within a few days of being installed, called customer service and the electrician showed up within the hour and replaced it. Very nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I made an appointment 3 or 4 days in advance for a couple of simple fixture installs and clearly explained that they and I MUST be finished by 1:00 p.m.. The appointments were confirmed twice via text message on the night before. Someone finally called me at approximately 12:40 p.m. and informed me that they were busy and that I should reschedule. NO THANKS. I don't need to deal with such inconsiderate/incompetent companies.

A Complete Rip Off! So tactical and not even funny. They told me we will come to the house and give a quote. I was at work when he came. My wife called me 9 TIMES! 9 TIMES! and said they want to charge 650 just to replace a few light switches. I had told him just do the 3 way light switch. He told her its $411.00. RIP OFF! The tech was so stupid ""Benjamin"" He electrocuted him self twice in front of my wife. Funny I have always been told to turn the power off before working on switches. He told her the switches I had were defective. They were brand new from Amazon! This guy spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to wire a 3 way light switch. This is why I hired them as I am no expert. Thought they were but wow! They are not. I am calling my CC to revers the charge due to incompetents! The Tech said to my wife, The WeMo switch I had installed correctly said this was an Outdoor only switch. This guy had to be a new guy. Really? This was MADE FOR INDOORS!!! IT works with Alexa and Google. Fail here. Please read this and never use them!
