i was in town for a limited amount of time and during the holidays at that! given *that* kind of narrow schedule, i was concerned about being able to find someone to do the work needed in my little italy apartment.

james was quick to respond to my initial inquiry about availability, punctual in his arrival times and work blocks, clear in his communication, hard-working, creative in tackling hiccups along the way and thoughtful on top of it all (he replaced a bowl that got chipped through no fault of his own - i should have moved it.)

in addition, he has a team of people to which he refers (for other types of work that he doesn't do) that i would trust without question given my experience with him.

he rewired a non-performing electrical transformer and saved an entire bank of lights, replaced a shower head with a new system, fixed the non-working drain-stopper that was shot, installed a mirror, creatively installed a curtain rod from the ceiling and brought in a dry-wall person to patch and paint.

in the end, his fees were reasonable, he knew what he was doing at all times through the tasks and he was pleasant to work with from start to finish.

I wanted an extra circuit installed on the wall above my fireplace for my TV and I called Moriset Electric after looking up their good reviews on Yelp. I'm very happy with the service! James came out to take a look and give me an estimate and was courteous and punctual. Andrew did the work a few days later and I'm very happy with it. Works well, no complaints, reasonably priced. I love being able to support local businesses. James was promptly on time and professional. He was very knowledgeable and a natural at his profession. He was informative explaining his thought process every step of the way in diagnosing my electrical problem. Once determined he was very easy to understand when explaining what the problem was. Our 1921 craftsman had a ton of original knob-and-tube wiring left, and I was concerned about the safety of the house, which is otherwise in great shape. James responded to my email about a quote immediately (all his communication is extremely timely) and showed up promptly with a clean and conscientious crew on the appointed day.

He rewired all our existing outlets (and added a bunch of new ones), installed J-boxes and new ceiling fans in two bedrooms and an office, rearranged our service panel to be more efficient (in terms of layout and future expansion), fixed closet lighting, and installed new motion lights in the back and side yards.

All done with a minimum of demo (tough with a rewire job), lots of cleanup, and great after-the-job followup and punchlist completion.

Absolutely zero complaints, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend James & Co to anyone else with electrical (and pretty much any other GC) problems.

Reliable, honest and hard-working!

I had a faulty ceiling fan due to what I thought was the electrical set up. James answered my call himself and came to assess it right away. His fees are standard, and I would have ended up paying a lot more had he charged me hourly. But the problem that I thought was minor turned out to be a 3.5 hour job, and though he had to run back twice for parts and get up into our attic space, he charged me the original quote, no more.

I had called around and gotten one place that charges a travel fee, no matter what the job may end up being, then they waive that once you decide to work with them-- but that is without your knowing any costs. Many others I left messages or they were busy, so I'm glad I found Moriset and got our fan working and re-installed right away.

He is knowledgeable, honest and really a good problem-solver! I recommend this business for your electrical needs.

If you have any electrical needs, please reach out to them! I had the pleasure of working with James on my electrical project, which included adding power near the fireplace, cable lines, phone line, grounding rod, etc. It was a lot of little projects which would have been annoying to do one at a time, so it was great to have him come and do this. I was moving into a new place which did not have the proper electrical set up or cable outlets, so I needed them installed asap, prior to moving in and James was able to work with his schedule to do this project before my movers and cable was set up.

James is very personable and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and provided with me a lot of useful information as well. His prices are also reasonable, as I did do a couple of other estimates on the work. James came out to the property to check out my set up and was able to get me an estimate quickly. A couple of the other folks that I called didn't even come out and took 3-4 days to give me an estimate. For all my electrical needs, I will definitely be reaching out to them!

Wow,quick,fast and great price. James came out today when I was I a bind. Being a small family owned and operated company. I look for someone to answer the phone first. A voice. James did that and he came out within 30 mins.I called over 10 electricians who advertise 45-60 mins response time but not one was available until the next day. James came out diagnosed and fixed problem within a hour to hour fifteen minutes and even found time to show me how to use a voltage meter . James is a dependable and expert craftsman. He did light fixture work at my condo on Jan17,2013. I was impressed with his honesty and his work.
