James came out to give us a new electrical box and build a deck. He was super professional and did both in a fraction of the time we thought it would take. The new deck is amazing. 2 weeks later we lost power in the kitchen. We called him because we weren't sure what the issue was. He came out and found the kitchen was wired incorrectly 20 years ago and fixed it free of charge. He knows his stuff and treats you fairly.

He could have performed the work and I would have paid him, but he was honest and didn't charge me a dime. He even took the time to explain why everything was okay and how the circuit worked.

i'm happy to give James 5 stars. My experience was much the same as many other Yelp raters"". James installed three pendant lights over our kitchen bar drawing power from an existing can light that we eliminated. His bid (guaranteed maximum) matched the lowest we obtained, but he charged us $200 less than he bid because he charges only for the actual time on the job. James hooked us up with a master drywall guy that did a great job repairing to hole left over from the can light we didn't need any more. James is skilled, knowledgeable, and a nice guy to boot. I'd recommend him to anyone.

James, the owner of this fine company, is a guy that knows a lot about a lot of things. In fact, I'm fairly certain if I asked he could tune my piano for me or give my car a darn good tuneup. But more importantly, he knows a lot about construction which is essential for a general contractor. His philosophy, which extends to all the guys that work for him, is that they all know something about all aspects of construction....from framing, to electrical, to plumbing and so on. In our case, James and his crew did a complete re-wire of a 1915 Craftsman style cottage and a back unit that entailed removing all the old knob and tube wiring and replacing it with current code electrical. His bid turned out to be about 10% less than an electrician that I had been using for quite a while. He charges based on how many nodes (switches/plugs) that need to be replaced and a discount is applied when the number reaches 50 or more. I highly recommend this company...they showed up on time, finished the work on budget, and the result was to a very high standard. Lastly, you'll enjoy working with James. He was happy to take as much time as necessary to fully explain our project. I had him back a week after the electrical work was done for a small plumbing fix and that turned out perfectly as well.

He is about as good as it gets for electrical work (plus other small household jobs). I just moved into an old 1930's home with old original knob and tube wiring I could not even get insured. He did a major week long complete re-wiring project, plus adding additional light fixtures. Such a pleasant person to work with and even fun to discuss scientific principals of electricity. His pricing is quite fair and lower than other estimates I had. It works on a fixed per outlet pricing so when unexpected kinks happen and delayed things I was not hit with any increase in bill, which is very reassuring in such a large electrical job. I was so happy with his work I have already had him out with a smaller project as well.

So glad I found James on Yelp! He is awesome - texted me to confirm he was coming the morning of our appointment and he was very punctual. He is knowledgable, answered any question I had for him and has a great attitude. Very easy to talk to and pleasant demeanor. I have an older home and he explained what he would be doing in detail, which involved cutting a section of my wall out because the area he was installing outlets had a concrete wall. He was very neat about it and cleaned everything up. His pricing is also very fair. He installed/repaired 3 interior outlets, installed 3 exterior security lights and installed a recessed light fixture in my entryway. I'm very happy with his work and recommend him.

I can't thank James enough for the electrical work he did for us! We are in the process of getting a new kitchen and our time is limited. I needed our 3 old fluorescent lights removed and to install 2 junction boxes along with an outlet for our new microwave/vent combo. He was very quick to get back to me and was able to work around our schedule. He showed up on time, was courteous, very respectful of our home and completed the project neatly and quickly. It took all of 3 hours and he was done and cleaned up all the mess. It's safe to say we have a new electrician that I trust! When it came to the bill he went above and beyond to give us the best deal. We were only charged for the 3 hours at his rate plus the materials he purchases from Home Depot with zero markup. He even showed me the receipt. I highly recommend James for any electrical project big or small. Keep up the great work James!

I highly, highly recommend James for electrical work and he will now be the only person we call for jobs from here on out. In our kitchen he installed a new outlet so we can install a microwave/vent combo for our kitchen remodel and he also removed our ancient fluorescent lighting and installed 2 junction boxes for our new light bars. James was incredibly courteous, friendly and informative. He charged us only for the hours he worked on the projects and for the pieces he purchased at Home Depot, at cost, not any higher. It was such fair pricing and a big breath of fresh air to have an honest and reasonable person doing the job.
