Trying to write a useful review, rather than just more gushing. Randy was responsive. Called me back on a Saturday, told me he was slammed, but if it was an emergency, he could make it work.
He first tried to talk me through self fixing to save me money. The problem was not a DIY job. He came out. Knocked the job out. Rounded DOWN on time spent and was super fair on price. Cool, normal, helpful guy. Not sure what else you could do in this industry to be better than Randy.

I was about to give up till I got to Mopia Electric. Randy was great. By the time I got to him I have had 3 other electricians from Yelp come over to look at the electrical problem . Saying that i wasn't impressed with any of them would be a gross understatement. Randy gave me a fair and competitive estimate. He was always on time and got the work done as expected. He followed up with all my concerns and questions. I intend to use his services again.

Randy is excellent! Called him on a Saturday with a non urgent issue. He communicated clearly his rates and asked if I wanted him to come on Sunday morning. He even did some text exchanges with photos so he could give a good estimate of time.

I found his rates good, his communication excellent, his work quick, he seemed competent, and he was generally a nice guy to boot.

I would recommend Randy for any job, big or small.

Randy is the BEST! We feel so lucky to have found him! Wanted to get a plug in for the Chevrolet Volt to recharge, and called another electrician first. Depressing just during the initial conversation when we could only talk to the receptionist, felt like it was a bother to even ask about the job. Called Mopia and Randy answered the phone himself - and we were joking around in minutes. He made short work of the work and gave us a good price to put the charging unit in. Even when we indicated concerns that the job could be more involved because of the age of the house, he didn't take advantage of our fears or ignorance but assured us that the unit could be safely put in with the existing wiring - and additional modifications were not needed to meet code. Yup, he's the man!

All good with Randy. My tankless installer forgot to mention that they didn't do electrical work, so when the day arrived for it to be installed (Saturday) I needed help fast. My tankless unit is external and it needs to be hardwired, so Randy called the local inspector to double check on what the local code is. Then he tied into an existing outlet, ran a line through the studs in the garage,drilled through the stucco, installed the switch, GFCI outlet, weather proof enclosure, hardwired the tankless system, sealed it up, and tested it all, in about 3 hours. Fantastic. I have finally found my go to guy for electrical.

Needed a good home electrician quickly for emergency troubleshooting and repair. Called Mopia Electric and talked to Randy(owner). He took the time to ask many questions about the problem that I was having with my lights and sockets. Gave me some great tips on how to solve the problem. We called him out to do the work for us and he came by within an hour. He sure knew his stuff. Troubleshot the problem immediately and fixed the problem within the hour. Now everything works perfectly again. I'm really glad I called Mopia and will call again for some electric upgrades in the future.

I needed a light switch replaced. I called several electricians (highly rated I might add) who were either too busy to take my business or return my call. Randy returned my call in a timely manner and was able to fit me in between appointments. He understood my concern of having the job performed by a licensed electrician. I just bought a house in CV and would like to install 2 ceiling fan with light in my family room. The house is grandfathered and the wire is old so I certainly want this to be done by capable hands. I look at Yelp and find Randy.

I called Randy, and he dropped by in 30 minutes to give me detailed explanation on what need to be done and a reasonable estimation. As I need the job to be done asap, he managed to squeeze a day in the same week to help me work out.

Arrived on time, Randy started working immediately. It is really not a very easy job as the wire in my 1947 house is following old standard and using old material, it is lucky that Randy pretty familiar with this kind of house (In CV there are lots of old houses like this) and know how to deal with it in a safely manner. It is not an easy job to install those two ceiling fan/light, though. It takes quite a while for Randy to install them. I am quite happy that I hired him rather than try to do that by myself, which is predictable a disaster.

Randy showed his professionalism during the his work. i.e., he does not answer one single phone call, keep the job site tidy, pay lots of attentions to our new wood floor.

It is definitely super positive experience. Will call him in future for any electrician needs.
