Luke Mooney embarked on his electrical and HVAC journey at just 9 years old, accompanying a mentor on various electrical tasks for family and friends. He began by watching from afar, then volunteered, eventually working part-time for a friend's HVAC company. After graduating high school, Luke joined a national service company as an electrician's assistant. Following a year on the road, he earned an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology from Calhoun Community College and a certification from the National Air Conditioning Repair School (NARS) in Huntsville, AL. Luke successfully passed his HVAC Contractors Exam on his first attempt and launched Luke Mooney Heating and Air in 2013 as a side project while working as an electrician during the day. In 2016, he passed the Alabama Electrical Contractors Exam and established Mooney Electric, which is now his primary business.
