Ready for another 5 star review of Joe and Monticello electric? Our dryer quit mid-cycle sometime on Friday and we didn't notice until Saturday when we pulled out a load of damp laundry only to find the dryer would not turn back on. We tried the breakers thinking it was probably an electrical issue but that didn't fix it.

Since it was a weekend all the appliance repair places we called were closed and none of the handyman services we contacted got back to us. After finally reaching someone on Tuesday I was shocked to find the service call would be $100 and if it was an electrical issue, not a dryer issue, we'd still be charged the fee and then have to call an electrician anyway!

Turns out this was all a blessing in disguise! I decided to contact Joe after reading his Yelp reviews and messaged him today around 4pm telling him my situation. He responded within an hour! He had other calls but took my number in case they were able to fit me in before it got too late. They called at 7:55 pm, arrived moments later, and fixed the problem in under 15 minutes! Not only was the service fast but so personable and genuine! I cannot recommend them enough and we will use them when we upgrade our electrical panel in the future.

Thank you so much for saving this new mom with mounds of baby laundry piling up!

They don't come any better. I needed my front exterior light replaced, so I called and asked for an appt, and Joe said, ""How about tomorrow"" !

He came at the agreed time, replaced the light in about 45 minutes, and his price was very affordable.

I don't know Joe's capabilities, but if you need electrical help, it won't hurt to try Joe...he and Gabriela did a GREAT job for us. Next time, I will be calling Joe and Gabriela again!

Joe was quick to respond, work me into his schedule, and reasonable. He clearly knew what he was doing, secured the permit for us, and dealt with the city inspector for the exterior work. Joe was easy to work with and he is definitely my first choice for other electrical work we are planning for the future with our aging house.

Joe is the go to guy for electrical work after a recent remodel I had a mystery with a particular circuit and also need some additional outlets and a switch installed. Joe tracked it all down and did a great job now I can control what I want when I want in the garage. All that and he answers his phone when you call and is always on time.

I would give Joe negative 5 stars, if available. He started buying many parts for the small wiring job in my garage, which he finally did not use, but said that ""you paid for all this"" just after arriving. After checking the receipt that he left with me to return some of these items, ""because you paid for all this"", I figured out that he does this to get reward points on his Home Depot contractor account. This guy was supposed to check with me what was needed for the job before buying anything without my approval.

After working for a couple hours he made a second trip to Home Depot to buy additional material, time for which he charged me at his regular rate. And believe it or not, he forgot to buy everything needed for the installation. After more than 4 hours, he did not finish the job and the quality of the installation is very poor, with conduit and an ugly box not sitting properly on the wall. He also showed lack of expertise mounting hardware on finished walls, when he tried to use undersized fasteners for a heavy duty application.

I am hiring another contractor in the Napa area to redo the installation, which looks like part of a factory or an industrial lab. If you do not want to end up with parts to return on your own after this guy leaves your home and paying a professional contractor to do the job again, find someone else to work on your project.

Joe and his staff were extremely responsive to my inquiry. He immediately got me on his schedule to come by my house and provide a bid for the various electrical jobs I needed executed. Joe was very personable, knowledgeable and honest. He had some great ideas that I didn't think about to save me time and money. He finished all the work in on afternoon and did an incredible job. I develop real estate professionally and deal with commercial subs all the time...my experience with Joe was great. Highly recommended

Joe really is a top notch guy. Easy going, honest and hard working. I had him do some work for me in Napa and felt he was thorough and did quality work. I then had him come to my main home in Dixon to do an entire change out of old fried switches. He was fast, efficient and fair on price. Joe is my go-to guy for all my electric needs. Highly recommend him.
