Recently needed to get a water heater replaced. These guys are very fast and easy to get on the phone so I called them. Was given a quote for over $6000 for a new tankless heater. The guy was very nice and assured me I wouldn't get a better price anywhere and that ""financing is available"". Call me old-fashioned, but when your plumber is trying to get you to finance a repair...it starts to smell fishy to me. I eventually got the same tankless heater installed for $2000. So if you enjoying paying TRIPLE what another plumber would charge, have at it. Judging by a lot of the recent reviews on here, this is something of a pattern here.

DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. They will lie to you to get more work/money. They ruined my warranty on my water heater and gave me an outrageous price to ""fix"" it. I called 3 other plumbers and all confirmed that they were pushing to make more money and false statements were being told to me. I called my appliance company and they confirmed their statements were not true. I now lost my money with them and because of their false claim they have ruined my warranty. Very unhappy do not get fooled by these other reviews.

My Noritz tankless water heater was leaking so I called noritz to see about the warranty. They recommended monkey wrench plumbing because they are noritz certified. I called and they were able to get a technician out to my house the next day. About an hour before my technician showed up I received a text and email with a picture of my technician and a little background info about him. Josh showed up on time and went right to work. He was able to diagnose my water heater quickly and accurately, all my parts were covered under the factory warranty. Josh was was very knowledgeable about the water heater and related components. He gave me tips on how to better maintain my water heater and plumbing. I made the right choice by calling the experts at Monkey Wrench plumbing to solve my water heater issues.

Worst experience ever!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!
gave completely WRONG info on their scope of work. I initially spoke with Adrienne and explained that I needed leak detection and was told that they do all kinds of leak detection and have all necessary equipment.I scheduled for 3 weeks later ( was leaving town over christmas break). On the day of the scheduled appointment Michael calls and cancels the appointment 30 min prior. I had taken off work and had also scheduled my plumber for the repair after detection at the same time. Michael rescheduled me for today ( 1/8/19) and promised to send his best leak detection expert who carries all the latest leak detection equipment in his truck by the name of Leo. I schedule my plumber again for today who shows up on time but no Leo in sight . I call Monkey wrench and I am told that Leo will be there in 10 min. 30 Min later still NO SIGN of Leo, so I call the office. Adrienne tells me that he will be there soon, he had to make a stop to pick up equipment.
5 min later another person ( NOT LEO) shows up and tells me that he's just a regular plumber and that Monkey Wrench DOES NOT DO LEAK DETECTION!!!! I am furious,....I lost another day at work and had my plumber come out for nothing. I WILL report them to the Better Business Bureau....people like that should not be in business.
I also heard that companies PAY yelp to take the bad reviews off, which makes sense since there are too few of them.

We have a Noritz water heater. Monkey Wrench has been our service contact for some time now. They are always responsive to our calls, and are most prompt in sending someone out to our home to fix any problems. This morning, Leo, an excellent technician came out to fix out Noritz heater. He was prompt, efficient, and solved our problem. We now have hot water. Overall,I would recommend Monkey Wrench with no reservations.

Outrageous. Quoted $1100 to hydro-jet a line. Two other companies quoted $300. I can only imagine how over priced they are on every other service. Upon reading the rest of the reviews, this seems common with Monkey Wrench.

We had a broken tankless hot water heater issue.

You'd be surprised how hard it is to get a plumber on the phone when you need one.

These guys showed up same day and fixed the issue FOR FREE. Turned out it was just a broken remote. Easy fix.

Will definitely call them again when I have another issue.

Called Monkey Wrench because they are certified to service our Noritz water heater. Like many of the other reviews here, they immediately determined that the unit was shot and that the only solution was a full replacement, then quoted us outrageously high, just under 10k for a new heater. Then, they tried to extort us by saying that as soon as they left, they would be obligated to report us to the health department, unless they left with a return service scheduled. Can't wait to get the invoice from these mobsters for the bogus quote. Oh, and we got the broken heater fixed the same day by different people: $500.

Seem nice enough. Great with the phone and in person. My situation -- I have a tankless hot water heater that's just a few years old. He couldn't replicate the leak until it returned a few weeks later and we took the cover off the unit to explore. We found a small connector that looks like it loosened over time causing the leak. Their solution? ""Replace the whole unit with a new one."" In no sane world is the diagnosis to replace the entire unit when one small part needs tightening or even replacing. These guys seem less like plumbers and more like guys trying to propose the most expensive solution they can get away with.
