They came recommended by Tesla and they did not disappoint. They initially gave me a quote to install electric vehicle chargers for my condominium unit but after a year, my HOA did not proceed with it and I decide to ask them to re-quote me for my own installation. They are always patience and responsive despite it has taken them over a year before getting my business. Their staffs were professional and completed the work on time. Even after I fully paid them, they follow through with getting my permit approved from my city. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

So we hired Modern Elect. to complete several electrical-related upgrades to our home in the last couple of months (new outdoor fixtures, motion lights around our perimeter, bathroom fan/light, rangehood installation, interior and exterior outlets added, and hardwiring our Ring doorbell). Although Zack's estimate was the highest out of the 3 we received, he was willing to negotiate on the price - and he seemed like the most interested in booking the job and offered several other small things he noticed that needed replacing/fixing if he were to book the job (such as replacing a few old outlets and outlet covers with new ones, repairing an open hole in our stucco that the previous electricians left, and covering up some exposed wire).

During the course of the job, his partners Marat and Vic were amazing! They were very professional, changed things if I didn't like how it looked, asked for my opinion before making holes for new fixtures, and even brought me a home-made Armenian dish, which was delicious! I was very comfortable while Marat & Vic worked through out our home, while my two babies and I were there most of the days.

There were a few low-voltage items that were left for Zack to complete towards the end of our job, and as he completed these things, I reminded him of the several small ""promised"" items from when he gave the quote. He was a little hesitant at first, it had been a long time since that original quote was made, but in the end he took care of EVERYTHING he promised me he would. I'm not one of those people who forget the little things ;)

Overall, I am super grateful for Zack and his team of electricians, I would definitely hire them again. Thank you for following through on your word, Zack, and working with us on payments!

We hired Modern Electrical for all lighting and electrical for my business that was opening in LA. Zach and George were amazing- their prices are super reasonable, and they were epically professional, accommodating, and problem solvers. Zach even came 2 weeks after the project was finished to follow up on a last minute request - which he came at 7pm so we didn't have to close our store. Highly recommend Modern Electrical for any needs you have!

Awesome customer services. Extremely punctual and efficient. Prices are reasonable and unbeatable. My technician came to my appointment at exact time which I appreciate. Just used them for my Tesla 3 outlet install as they were recommended by a colleague and they were great! I worked w mike who was punctual, efficient and did a neat job and cleaned up well after themselves! Highly recommend !!

UPDATE: After posting the review below, I was contacted by Modern Electrical in approximately 5 minutes apologizing for missing the appointment as there was an emergency the day of my original appointment. We scheduled a 2nd appointment and Zaven arrived on time and fully explained the various options I had for EV charging.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:The initial response time was good. We setup an appointment for Saturday for an estimate on an EV charging station in my garage. On Thursday I received a confirmation email that I responded to. The 3 hour appointment window on Saturday came and went. I tried calling and no answer. No response to email either. Still haven't heard from them.

7 month's later and finally finished!! Not stress free!! After having to move original installation and many calls/arguments (Edison wouldn't pass as it was not fall enough from gas line...you would think modern electric would know as this is their job?!). Did I mention they wanted another $500 to fix their mistake?! I insisted they finish patching my house and was told they are not painters! Seriously?! And Mike asked me to leave another 5* review! I couldn't in good conscious leave my initial review as is. Be warned!!!

Asked for a quote a few months ago, when it looked like the Tesla Model 3 was going to be on time. They got in touch within a day and sent their service guy, Mike, out to take a look. He arrived a few minutes early, and took the time to talk me through some options and what each would entail. I was very impressed with his professionalism, as the option that he suggested for my home was a few thousand less than what I originally had in mind.

While I couldn't wait for the Model 3, I did go ahead and schedule Mike to return to install a new breaker and NEMA plug for the EV we purchased. Mike called ahead to let us know he was on the way, right on time for the installation window given to us. He finished well early of the quote, and made sure the disruption to the power was as short as possible. Very happy with the work done!

The appointment was scheduled 5 days prior at 9-10 am. I took time off to meet the electrician and called at 9:30 am to double check if the electrician was on his way. He called at 10 am to say that he could not make it. They are totally unprofessional.

I'm writing this review 5 minutes after Sergio and Mike just left my Sherman Oaks home after spending a non stop afternoon Installing power for my brand new Tesla . I must say how impressed with their professionalism . They had to go threw the attic to run the wires a full 150 feet. Sergio is so seasoned that when he quoted me the price he knew the exact footage needed to compete the job. I went up in the attic and they sealed all the holes and run the conduit perfectly straight . Amazing
They cleaned up all the excess wires left the place super clean. They checked to make sure everything was up and running and explained all the Tesla gauges . They were very excited about the Tesla product . Sergio and Mike, Thank You for getting me up and running. You guys are the best. Some of my neighbors are interested in a Tesla so I guess I'll be seeing you back in the neighborhood because my friends will only use you.
