A few months ago we had problem with our smoke alarm. Of course to was a Sunday evening. Managed to find Wil at Modern Electric who walked through the solution to our smoke alarm problem via telephone. Since we've had him do a minor installation. Everything was professional including Covid hygiene. He's our new electrician.

Will and his crew did such a great job in re-wiring the electric in our house. What started as a few wires, turned out to be a much bigger job but we expected as much since our house is 80 years old. I highly recommend Will at Modern Electric, not because I've used him, but because he went out of his way to help on a Sunday when he was closed.

I had woken up at 2:30am on a Sunday when I smelled burning, I couldn't find the problem so I finally went back to an uneasy sleep. Sunday morning I finally found the issue, which was a small transformer that was plugged in and wired at the inside top of a broom closet. It was hot to the touch and showed signs of burning.

As I definitely did not want to go to sleep another night with this issue I goggled for yelp reviews for electricians. I left a message for Will at Modern Electric because of their excellent reviews. He texted me back to let me know that they were not open on Sunday and to call him on Monday. I image he could feel my panic when I texted back that I couldn't wait until Monday as my place might burn down.

He texted me back with the name and number of another electrician and said to tell him that Will told me to call. The gentleman came and fixed the issue and he was great.

That was definitely going above and beyond, as I had already called several other companies and they were all closed. It felt like he really saved me. In the future I would definitely call Will for any electrical issues I have.

Wil was amazing. When we bought our new home Wil came out right away and not only gave us a fair quote, but he walked around the entire home and made recommendations on how to update some things in our house to be more efficient and save us money. Wil was also able to help walk me through some other items a few days later over the phone when I had a quick emergency. I HIGHLY recommend Wil and Modern Electric for any electrician services you need. If there were such a thing as Six Stars, he'd get it.

Wil and his team came in, evaluated what needed to be done for my outdoor security camera install, and got it done. They made it simple and quick and Wil went the extra mile to prepare me for all the camera app work so that he could leave me with fully operational cameras. He's great.

We lost power in the master bathroom and all the light went out. I called Modern Electric and spoke fo Zack. He sent Mike who diagnosed the problem. The bathroom required re-wiring from the attic to the junction box to the electrical panel. He did an outstanding job and did a good job cleaning up.
He returned a few days later and installed an extra light over the bathtub where none was there before. I can see so much better now. He did that at no extra charge. I cannot say enough good things about Modern Electric and Zack and Mike. They are the best. I would not hesitate to call them again. I highly recommend them.
