Recommended Customer Reviews

We received very good information in regards to why we had an outlet shortly. We truly appreciate that he walked us through what was going on and why. I'm not sure about the previous reviews but all went well on our end.

MK was assigned by our home warranty company to assess an electrical issue after the prior contractor was unreachable. They came out the next morning, looked into the issue and spent time waking us through various issues and providing a ton of valuable information not only for the electrical issues but also other projects we are considering.
Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Like many others who reviewed this business, this contractor was assigned by First American Home Warranty (a ZERO star rating for FAHW). This contractor does not schedule visits or return calls from either the customer or FAHW. No service equals 1 star rating.
I guess I should be happy they do not respond, but FAHW is running out of contractors.

This guy was assigned to me by my home insurance company.
He gave me time frame from 7 to 9 am . he called me he is outside as soon as we went outside he was gone I called him he said he will call me back never happened. He is very rude 0 customer service no wonder that's why you have so many bad reviews.

As you can see from other reviews, this guy has serious problems on the road. Today he exited a gas station without even slowing down and pulled out right in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision. When I raised my hand with the ""what the heck?"" gesture his response was to absolutey lay into his horn and flip me off. As if I'm supposed to stop so he can forgo his obligation to honor the right of way of the people on the road he's entering. How can he be trusted with something as important as your electricity?

Was assigned electrician through home warranty company. Did not arrive with mask, but complied when I asked if he would wear an extra one I had. No warm and cheery customer service, but he arrived on time and quickly replaced our dimmer switch so good enough for me!

Thank God this guy didn't return my calls or do the work for my FAHW claim. Yelp is truly the best

NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE.
SAME with other reviewers, home warranty assigned us with this contractor and we've been contacting him since 5days ago. never get any respond and it makes me so frustrated to arrange the schedule.

Thank you Matt Kurzawinski , for coming over on 7/29/2020,to finish the repairs for the electrical problems.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Worst ""electrician"" ever. I was assigned this electrician (Matt) from First American Warranty and he gave a bogus report of my issue which caused a denial to my claim. Lost my money to his scam of getting service request from the warranty companies and giving false reports to get us denied like other reviewers.
I don't think he is licensed or he needs to go back to school and get tested again. He does not even know the NEC 312.8 code regarding splices in the panel which states they are allowed since it was reworded back in 2011. When diagnosing my outlet issues, he barely checked one outlet with his meter and then went straight to the panel. Once he had one look at my panel, saw the splices/pigtails, he took a picture and said he will call First American Warranty. I asked why and he said no splices in the panel are allowed which contradicts what the code stated that I recently found online and what other electricians I spoke to recently. He told me that my whole panel needed to be replaced to fix my outlet issues.
I waited for an update with First American and almost 4 weeks later I get a call from Matt again to schedule a time for him to stop by and look at my outlets. I had to remind him he already came by and that First American is waiting for a report. He then ""remembers"" and states he will call them ""again"". He then gives First American a bogus report of why my outlets are not working. He reported that my circuit is overloading which is causing my outlet issues, but my outlet that is having an issue is a dedicated circuit with no splices on its own breaker. He never checked my outlets or breakers, only looked at my panel, saw the splices (which were allowed from what other electricians say and made assumptions in the report). Do not use this electrician if you are assigned to him.
The dedicated 30 amp circuit that I am having issues with is a 220 volt 30 amp dryer outlet and one of the hots had no voltage. He would know that if he wasn't such a scammer. If every breaker was turned off and only the 30 amp breaker with no load on it was left on, the outlet would only still have one hot instead of two. It had nothing to do with the splices or the panel or what he reported as an overloaded circuit.
And like everyone else, he doesn't return calls or text but will call you if First American assigns a service order so he can scam you. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

312.8 Switch and Overcurrent Device Enclosures
The wiring space of enclosures for switches or overcurrent
devices shall be permitted for conductors feeding through, spliced, or tapping off to other enclosures, switches, or overcurrent devices where all of the following conditions are met:
(1) The total of all conductors installed at any cross section of the wiring space does not exceed 40 percent of the cross-sectional area of that space.
(2) The total area of all conductors, splices, and taps installed at any cross section of the wiring space does not exceed 75 percent of the cross-sectional area of that space.
(3) A warning label complying with 110.21(B) is applied to the enclosure that identifies the closest disconnecting means for any feed-through conductors.

Quote from a real expert:
""This is the applicable code section. It used to say no splices were allowed unless there is enough room. This led many, many folks to simply state ""NO splices allowed"". They were wrong. You'd be amazed at what it would physically take to reach that 75% number of fill.
So basically yes, splices are FINE in a breaker panel.""
