I have used Mr. Sparky for repair and installation of outside electric on several occasions. Special kudos to Akeem Carmichael for his dependability, technical expertise, and ability to assess, troubleshoot and successfully correct a situation. I wouldn't hesitate to call on Mr. Sparky for all my electrical needs.

Mr Paul from Mr Sparkys called me in regards to a request for service I made thru Angi.com. It was hard to explain the job I needed done as Angis service doesn't give many options to write what you actually need and they over charge for simple jobs. If I was in better health I would do it myself but I can't.
After explaining what I needed Me Paul assured me that even though they usually don't do these small jobs he would definitely send a guy out to help me. Demetris showed up at my door with the biggest smile, best personality and was genuinely happy to help me out. He hung the lights in my yard in no time, we talked about my Memorial garden and he said to call Mr Sparky whenever I need some help!
Even the girls in the office are very nice to talk to!

Akeem was amazing! He kept us informed on everything he was doing and did a very thorough safety inspection. He noticed things in the house that were left unsafe by the builders and we felt confident we wouldn't have any problems after he left. He was also very quick to install our new ceiling fans. Highly recommend the electricians at Mister Sparky!

I called for an estimate for electrical to be run for a hot tub and additional lighting. This is a big job as it is dedicated lines buried over a long distance. Anticipated cost ~$2k.
They would not send anyone out without a $89 service charge. (even asked the manager). Most service companies give free estimates especially for a big job but not Sparky! Do not recommend.

My husband called Mr. Sparky to come use an existing electrical line in our front yard to hook up to a light post that had been recently moved. Up front he mistakenly told Mr. Sparky he knew the electrical needed updating in our house but under no circumstances was that an option at this time. Mr. Sparky took a look at everything and then came and told my husband point blank he could not do the work whatsoever. He preceded to tell my husband how awful and dangerous our electrical was; that it hadn't been updated in 60 years, we didn't have a main switch to turn it all off, all the previous work that had been done was shitty, anything done had never had permits pulled, etc. Mr. Sparky insisted on arguing with my husband. The home passed the home inspection originally, we've have been here 5 years, and only have had a few minor electrical jobs completed by a licensed, reputable company we have been using for electrical, plumbing and AC for over 17 years. Basically he offered no alternative, suggesting his company would only do the work if we had everything updated. We know better than this. Using manipulation and intimidation to steer a client into something they don't want is a very poor sales tactic. Mr. Sparky was thrown out and told not to come back. Don't make the same mistake of calling Mr. Sparky.
