I called and asked for an estimate of work to be done installing four outlets, which should have been an hour of work. The estimate was $1,600 because the outlets were new not replacements, but the wires were bare and there. He reduced the price to $965 saying that that was the rate for 4 existing outlet replacements. Three hours later he got another $160 for the same install since the first attempt on two outlets failed. Yes over $1040 for 4 outlets. I will never use them again. I gave the guy a 5 star rating afterwards because the work is guaranteed and if anything with the install goes wrong I want it fixed well. The initial phone call did not represent that there would be any cost associated with doing an estimate. Another surprise was to see a circuit breaker removed from my breaker box leaving an open slot open to humidity and anyone poking around, which is an electrical hazard. I guess covering the open slot with electrical tape will have to do. Why did I trust Mr. Sparky?

Our lights started flickering in our 70+ year old house. Mister Sparky was the only one we called that could come out same day. Our electrical panel was over 30 years old and showed signs of moisture in the wall. (We knew we had a roof issue) Daniel was quickly able to see what was wrong and give us an estimate. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. He did a temporary fix to reduce the fire hazard until the replacement could be scheduled. We weren't charged until the job was completed. I highly recommend mister sparky, especially if you ask for Daniel to be your tech!

Got charged for trouble shooting when there was actually no trouble shooting! If you want to call looking in a closet, a room, and my garage for some kind of box in which there was none, I guess that's trouble shooting! I really felt that's when the dishonesty played into my experience.

We have an old townhouse and know electrical issues are a constant. We attempted changing the porch light and wires crumbled. Eric from Mister Sparky was on time, very friendly, explained options and safety very clearly. The prices were clear and fair. Eric is an asset to the Mister Sparky team! I will feel very comfortable calling them for the next project.

I've used Mr Sparky before and was very pleased with their service and pricing. However, today is a new day. The two representatives today were very respectable and polite. I was very optimistic that after three failed attemps by Lowes' install company (Handy Technologies), today was the day I would get my new fan installed. Well, the quote to do the install was $290, however they were charging over $300 just for the use of their own ladder that's sitting on their truck ouside my house. Total cost over $600 for a single fan install?? Are you crazy?? No thank you.. Heading to Home Depot to buy a new ladder for under $300 and do it myself.

Recommended by a friend. Wish I had sought a 2nd opinion. Insisted my panel box was a fire hazard, mutilated the wall around a light switch, told me our fans were going to fall out of the ceiling. Last but not least, OVERPRICED! Would not use them again.

I had a very bad experience with Mister Sparky. They visited my house for a minor repair and offered as part of the service to inspect the rest of my electrical system. I saw no harm in this. About an hour later the electrician had disassembled and disabled my breaker panel. He then informed me that there was a problem and he wouldn't reassemble it without being paid at least several hundred dollars. His recommended solution was in the thousands. I asked him to restore it to the condition he found it in and he refused. He played on my fears to extort money from me and didn't create the situation in a way that I could independently confirm a problem with another technician. One of their commercials claims that they almost always find something wrong during their inspections. Do they look for needed repairs or do they simply look to run up a bill? My system showed no outward problems before their inspection. And they could have left my power enabled and allowed me to confirm a problem with a third party electrician. I won't use Mister Sparky again.

We are so so pleased with the work done by Raphael. He was so kind and provided outstanding customer service. Very professional and knowledgeable. We will be asking for Raphael for all future projects in our new home.

When what they repaired failed, all you get is an answering service. The materials they use are substandard and they charge too much. I'd not recommend them to anyone.

Charleston SC Be careful ...
When I called in for a service need they would not give me an esteemed cost for a VERY simple electrical service need, replace 2x hard wired part in lamp, less than 45 min service onsite work/service call in which $30 in parts cost, Mister Sparky charged me $420 for repair. showed on up when scheduled but expensive
