I asked this company to install 4 hanging pendants for bed ceiling lights over the nightstands. The ceiling outlets and switches were already installed. This is a 2-3 hr job and they almost got my wife to agree to a $850 installation and and upgraded ""surge"" protector system for $2,400. This is clearly a company that takes advantage of ignorance. Stay far away. This should have been a $300 job.

After I told the guy to leave they offered to do the job for $390. So you can see clearly that they will take advantage of people who don't know better. I'm so glad my wife texted me before it was too late.

We did not have a good experience with Mr Sparky Electric.

All we needed was for someone to help wire in a ceiling light.
A very arrogant technician (Carlos) wanted to charge us a $298.00 diagnostic charge before doing anything. This is after waiting 5 days for someone to come out.

Obviously we denied any work done.

STAY AWAY!!! Complete rip off company. Luckily my technician was so unbelievably rude that I had to ask him to leave my house, so they didn't have the opportunity to rip us off. BUT BOY DID THEY TRY! He came to my home and basically inspected my entire house including my pool equipment without my consent then tried to give me some outrageous quote of $4500 to completely redo all the electrical workings of my house. Funny enough, when I asked about the issues I actually called the company out for, he said ""I don't know, you have to agree to the price first"". What a joke. And beware, the ""diagnostics"" price is just for them to even look at what the issue is. Doesn't even include any kind of repairs. On top of all that, the technician got so irritated that we interrupted him to ask a question when he was giving us his quote, he angrily said "" can I finish?!"" Then TRIED TO HAND HIS TABLET OVER AND SAID ""WOULD YOU LIKE TO FINISH FOR ME"" what kind of company hires and sends a person out to someone's home like this?!!!? I've never had to ask someone to leave my house before but this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. STAY AWAY!!

The technician, Paul R., was great. Helpful, knowledge, and respectful of our home. The ""electrician,"" WAYNE, was an unqualified jerk. Would not wear any PPE and then ""forgot"" to turn off the breakers. He fried most of the electronics and appliances in our home, left a gaping hole in our exterior, and claimed it was our fault because HE didn't see the wires were crossed! If there is a next time, we are calling Art!

Rip off!! and over priced; Do not trust this company especially as primary source of quote. Obtain 2 others. . i received two separate quotes, 1 for Circuit Breaker and 1 for Transfer Switch. I cannot speak to quality of their work because i knew something was wrong as the Tech / Sales Rep at my home was pushy and adding upgrade suggestions before dealing with Core reason why i called. The end price was literally 2x to 3x total more than competitor. Let me give example, in the Transfer Switch Quote which requires a Permit and updated Fire Detectors in home, (understandable). the Estimator tried to ""insist"" they must do it and was charging $200 per detector installation up to 6 (so $1200). Any fool can look up part for even the most high tech Smoke Detector is maybe $40 per (avg good one is $25). I don't have to give you a picture of remaining mark up on quotes. Also, THE ESTIMATOR IS A LIAR, THEY MUST WORK ON COMMISSION. The other honest companies advised me since i am obtaining a new Circuit Breaker i dont have to pay for a separate Transfer Switch. some additional minor piping and a separate inlet for the generator is only required which lowered my combined price by $1000s for doing double unnecessary work.. BEWARE of MR SPARKY.

The materials used were cheap, i had to spend $500 more to restore the wall, way over priced. Never heard back from them regarding these realities, just was told i was to be passed along to the manager. The worker did their best, and were not resourced properly by Mister Sparky to execute job, so it's not the workers fault. Very unsatisfied.

Mr Sparky is an absolute ripoff. All I needed was a cable drop from the dining room to the downstairs bedroom (No more than 40 ft). A cable drop in the past has cost me anywhere from $100-125. Mr Sparky charged me $396 for a floor run, $514 for outside and $651 to run the cable through the drywall or crawl space. The technician was fine but those were the prices on his iPad and 5x what that job should actually cost. Nope!

I saw a commercial on TV so thought I'd give them a try. I called & explained I have 2 ceiling fans, the lights work but fans don't. One of the fans I know we tried wiring the fan but couldn't figure it out so we just left the fan disconnected & settled for the lights. I was told they would wave the $59 service fee. Yesterday Joe came out (Really nice guy) he checked 1 ceiling fan he unscrewed the ceiling cover & he said he needed to check to see if the ceiling fan was getting power ? the light was on ! Anyway he never checked anything else & told me both ceiling fans needed motors & not worth fixing. We had purchased a new fan & asked how much to change one of them, he said $189 so we declined. Before he left I asked him to check an outlet for me because it was away from the wall. He removed the extended metal box & it's fine now then he told me our circuit breakers were old. ( I don't believe that) I asked what I owe because the service fee was waved. He told me either I pay the $59 or $90 for travel fee. I chose the $59. This morning I got up & decided to work with the pull chain on the fan he checked- guess what- the fan is working fine. He also left the ceiling cover off & I hope the screws are in there. Now I have to find an electrician to rewire my other fan. I won't be using Mister Sparky in Pompano again.

I needed a chandelier hung, and 2 dimmer switches installed-1 standard and 1 is a smart dimmer/timer. I was notified quickly and a date an time span was scheduled. I was texted a reminder a day in advance. The morning of the appointment I was sent a text that the electrician is on his way with a picture of him. His name is Walker. He arrived soon after and provided courteous and fast service. It was a bit pricey, but the service provided by Walker was great!

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Mister Sparky of Pompano Beach is no longer offering reliable or professional customer service. Despite being pleased in the past, I am left hanging on a holiday weekend with little to no notice because the tech was ""pulled in another direction due to a family issue"". After waiting for several hours they decided to notify me late in the day that our preset appointment was not going to happen. The only offer made was I could be placed on a standby list for a potential Saturday appointment - no guarantees. Completely unacceptable and the arrogant operator suggested I write a poor review just to top things off. Disappointed is an understatement.
