We needed some ceiling lights put in and a GFI switch repaired. Frank came in and gave us a good quote and Tim came soon after and did the work. They were professional, punctual and the quote was fair. They didn't try to upsell me. It was an excellent experience.

I used Mr Sparky services in 2017. At that time I was satisfied with their work and professionalism. So, I went on line last week and scheduled an appointment for today 5/18/19 between 8 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. I recieved a call from their office a day or so after I scheduled the appointment. On their voicemail they said they had some questions to ask me and they would be here between 8 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. When I returned their call regarding they couldn't remember what they wanted to ask me, then gave me another time, between 8 a.m. and noon. I asked the lady to please schedule me as early as possible. She then quoted me a time between 8 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. I thanked her.
Well, a little after 9:00 this morning I called their office and the phone rolled over to an employee of theirs who was off today. She told me she would find out what happened and call me right back. I had told her it is my 60 yr birthday weekend and would appreciate not having to wait around 1/2 the day. She never called me back. At 10:15 a.m. no Mr. Sparky and no service. I cancelled my appointment.

This was a great experience. On time, knowledgeable, courteous and the cost was reasonable. Travis did a great job for us. I would use them again if the need arises.

I called Mr. Sparky to hang a ceiling fan on my patio Unfortunately the patio had never been wired to hang a ceiling fan from the ceiling however there was a light on the side of the wall. I wanted the wiring to go through the walls and attached to the switch it is already there. I was told he could not worry through the wall Because there was not enough crawl base and there was a petition blocking off the crawl space between the bedroom and the patio. He advised me that the only way he could do it is to put the wires inPVC pipe on the outside of the ceiling and the wall and put a large outlet Box on the patio wall and quoted me $900. I decline that estimate and called a another reputable company he went into the attic found no petition blocking the patio from the bedroom crawl space,and was able to wire the fan as i wanted. It took about 45 minutes to do the entire job and the cost to me was around $350. I definitely would not go back to them for any work in the future. I got the impression that they did not want to do this job and priced it so high that I definitely would not hire them to do the job. I'm giving only 1 star because they did show up on time.

Some of the power went out in my apartment and it was an issue that the maintenance guys couldn't fix. They contacted Mister Sparky for me. Because this happened on a Saturday I was worried I'd be stuck without my AC working until Monday. Thankfully, Ryan arrived within an hour of being called! He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. He was also very kind and professional.

My first experience with Mr. Sparky was rough. I called them primarily because I was concerned about an electrical issue in the middle of the night and I saw that they were a 24/7 company.
When they arrived later in the day, I mentioned the issues to them and they began looking for the source of the trouble. Initially they couldn't find any problem and they were ready to wrap things up. Given my suspicion and the potential seriousness of electrical misfirings, I urged them to continue looking around and they finally found the problem that ended up being right in plain sight. That wasn't the best first impression.
Mr. Sparky has returned a couple of times and the new employees are much better. The last person who came, Mr. Hicks, was so kind and personable. More importantly, he was also very thorough.
Based on the last two experiences with them, I would definitely call them again for electrical issues.

Very nice technician arrived but estimate for a new electric panel was too high for me,

When the technician came out to give the quote, he was very professional and reassuring that the work was going to go well - and although extensive - could be done in one day. When the day of the work came, the technician arrived with two additional techs and began work. We expected the work to last 5-6 hours, for the main panel, and then expected to have power back in the house, while they completed pulling the new circuits. THANK GOD WE HAD A GENERATOR! The techs arrived around 9am and did not finish until 11pm - YUP, 14 HOURS! It was beyond ridiculous. Without our generator we would have lost 100s of dollars in groceries from our refrigerator/freezer, the house ended up being 85 degrees for us to try and sleep that night, we tried calling the main office - multiple times to see what could be done to get the work completed faster/sooner (send out some other techs, etc.) - but no response - not even when I left multiple requests for them to call me back the next day. We received nothing but ""I'm sorry"" and was then handed the bill for $7,350.00. Our pool cleaner was stepped on and broken - we were not told - and our brand new broom and dustpan set were taken when they were cleaning up. Based on our experience I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN! It was A LOT of money to have such an awful customer service experience!

If I can give zero star, I would. I am thankful I did not hire this company. I was almost deceived by them of thousand of dollars. Had some electrical problems and was informed that I need to spend anywhere from 2k-5k to fix the issue. I didn't know anything about electrical but I do know when a business is using scare tactic to promote sales. They said that it had to be done or it will cause fire and wouldn't be safe to live in. That the situation/problem was imminent. I almost bought into it, but I decided to call another company for a second opinion because I just didn't trust their scare tactics sales approach. Turned out the supposed ""problem"" they claimed wasn't a problem at all, nothing major or imminent needed fixing, and it was just a simple electrical job that ended up with only few hundred dollars. I was told by the electrician I ended up hired that I was poorly misinformed.
It was just very dishonest and unethical business practice. I don't know if it was a honest mistake - a wrong diagnostic or simply, that their technicians were commission based that they had to lie in order to get a sale. Don't know. I just glad I wasn't their victim. Will definitely file a claim to the BBB to warn others about them. Please, if you ever want to hire them, please call for second opinion before you make the hiring decision. Please don't let them be the first guy you call and hire. It almost happened to me and I glad I didn't.
