we were scammed by this company. they charged us $199 fee for coming out (which we agreed to). they walked out to the meter and told us it was centerpoint energy's issue. they then charged my card for an additional $234. all they did was lie about the initial cost then leave after literally less than 5 minutes after blaming the issue on someone else. it is day 7 for us will still no power. don't be the next people scammed by mister sparky.

I received one quote initially, then after the wall was torn open, I got one three times as much. Was told additional work was required for resolution to my problem. Afterward, I was told my whole house was wired wrong, and all my outlets need to be replaced. Was given an estimate that equaled half the value of my home! Then days after I had signed ppwk for a loan to pay for services, was told I need a co-applicant for the loan and had to jump through more hoops for that. What a hassle!!!

I think we've been scammed today by Mister Sparky. We had several outlets that stopped working in one bedroom when my cleaning lady was ironing and discovered the fault. My husband already identified that these faulty outlets are on one circuit. My husband called Mister Sparky. a technician came on time and quoted more than $600 for a diagnostic that includes minor repairs, which we agreed to. He said it was a minor problem to change the loose screws in these outlets. He walked around our house and looked at our circuit breaker; he replaced the covers of 6 outlets , tightened the screws, and charged us more than $1300. The total time he was in our house was about 1.5 hours, including the time walking around the house ""diagnosing"" and ""estimating"", finally saying that they were not minor repairs after all and claimed that he gave us the ""diagnostic credit"". He was trying to convince/force us, using scare tactics, to replace everything in our 25-year old Bellaire house (we've never had any electrical problems before) which would amount to tens of thousand of dollars. We bit the bullet and paid the $1300 to get him out of our house as quickly as possible. He sat in his van in front of our house for another hour. I will get second and third opinions from other electricians recommended by my friends and house contractors, before committing to such major work. HAVE WE AVOIDED A MAJOR SCAM? I JUST HOPE THAT OUR HOUSE HAS NOT BEEN RIGGED FOR FUTURE PROBLEMS!!!!! As I'm reading the other comments, my story matches with quite a few others who've been similarly tricked?

$1230 to change federal pacific breaker, $6000-8000 to replace inside & outside panel. Apparently nothing was worth a repair and there was everything wrong with the system as it is an old system.

It's hard to trust anyone who gives you an estimate after telling you how everything is not right with the existing system. I wonder how all of us here at the complex live with electricity at all....

Over $600 for a diagnostic! The website is misleading. It states that after the diagnostic the electrician will go over what needs to be fixed. After diagnostics, half a of the money will be due or a payment plan will start. Lies. Lies. Lies. They charge $69 to tell you that it'll be over $600 for a diagnostic with minor repair. After the diagnostic it may be over that amount depending on what the diagnostic finds. Highly misleading website and fraudulent in my mind.

Come out to put in an electric charger. Whine doing this, they found my electrical box had so many wires. Some were melted. Ended up doing a new box. Fast and efficient.

Tried to set up an appointment with Genine (sp?) She was rude on the phone and wouldn't listen and then wanted to start an argument with me. Called back to talk to a manager. I she put me on hold and never let me speak with a manager.

Replaced (1) exterior outlet in a timely and professional manner. Afterwards, inquired about any and all electrical issues within the house. All concerns were addressed.
