Myiesha W.The technician was great and did a thorough inspection. I was given the results of the inspection only to find out it had nothing to do with my issue. I then learned it would be $700 dollars to find the problem. I ended up calling a private company to complete the repair.
TexaSicilian B.I was very concerned about an electrical burning smell (and one evening a smoke smell that accompanied it). The first available appointment was one week out. One hour before their arrival window, I received a phone call telling me they would not be out for another week. This was very distressing. I try to be understanding during Covid, but understand the burning smells were a little alarming and the last-minute reschedule was a bit of a shock.
The electrician was nice enough, but since my main problem that I was very specific about when I made the appointment was an electrical burning smell in a certain area of my home, it was very inconvenient that he would not lift his mask to smell the smell, which was very faint when he was here. I respect the Covid masks and I even offered to put an N95 over my surgical mask. No luck, which I respect.
This second appointment should never have been set if their technician has to smell it in order to diagnose. I asked about checking outlets and the panel and what could be done to try and determine anything, but there was no attempt to diagnose further. I had specifically asked when setting the appointment if there was equipment to diagnose if certain outlets could be problematic, thermal image the panel, etc., and was told there was. In person, there was apparently nothing he could do.
I cannot recommend this company because they did not show the first time and the second appointment should never have never been set if they have to use their sense of smell for diagnosis which is going to be tough unless the smell is very strong. This whole mess has cost me two weeks and now I have to find another company.

He immediately diagnosed the problem and gave us an estimate for labor and parts. He was very fast and professional. Thanks Mr. Sparky for getting our bedroom light working again! We will definitely call again when we need electrical work.

Various Mister Sparky electricians have had to come back several times under ""warranty calls"" to fix things other electricians did not install correctly. Some of the electricians who came out were unavailable to fix their mistakes because they ""left the company"".
At least these items were covered by the warranty, unfortunately enough time has been wasted attempting to work with this company to remain a customer for new repairs. Any new repairs will be performed by a different company.

In addition to assessing our need for smoke detectors, he even reviewed the inspection report from before the purchase our home and found several must-do's to address.
We like that he assessed all needs and wants, and provided packaged estimates for us to choose from. We got a lot more work done than originally planned for, but he made it work for us by also throwing in a few freebies.
We also really appreciate his kind nature. He is a young electrician but is more knowledgeable than some older ones we have hired in the past. We'll definitely ask for Tyler next time!

Mr. Sparky Electrical was sent out by Direct Energy,who I have a maintenance contract with.
They were unbelievable punctual,professional and explained every detail of the process. My tech was David McLaughlin.Besides having one of the most"" tricked ou""t service vehicles we have ever seen,the tech was super conscientious about wearing protective booties while in our home...nice touch. We live in Lewisville TX. and I believe this tech was sent out from their Garland office. I would definitely rate this company and tech...as a 10 out of 10. I will be recommending this company to my neighbors on the Next Door site .
Called to make an appointment and the woman on the phone was very quick and professional. They were able to fit us in the following Saturday and were given a 8-11am window. At 8:10am Tyler Crippin showed up with a friendly smile. We showed him the issue and he quickly went to work. He was kind and professional and worked quickly and efficiently. He replace the outlet that had burned out and checked the wiring. Then he went around the other side of the wall and checked those outlets that were out. He was already ahead of the game by not hitting on me like the last electrician that came to the house (see my review for Echeverria Brothers Electric), but his respectful manner and efficient work style really won us over. After he completed the work, we asked him if he had some time to look over some other issues. He said he did and we showed him two issues, one of which he was able to fix there quickly and the other which would have been more work and lots more money. He provided us a very well laid out detailed quote breaking down the different prices which I really appreciate. He wore booties inside the whole time even though he had to go back and forth between the front of the house with the damaged outlet and the back where the circuit breakers were. We would definitely use Tyler and Mr Sparky again.
