Mister Sparky--Sarasota area. Some of the technicians are good, it's the hard-sell ones you need to watch out for. Don't sign those tablets they thrust out at you until you get other estimates. If you look at the employee reviews on Indeed, you will see that they get almost as much training in sales as electrical work. After a while they are paid commission only which means they must charge the customer 30% more on product and service than the norm to make a living. Note, Mister Sparky offers a lot of guarantees, but none guarantee you won't get screwed. Find a local, non-franchised sparky instead.
Ben B.Use someone else! Had them come and do some upgrades in my garage in 2016. I go to sell the house and a breaker was found to be double loaded in violation of electrical codes. When I reached out their master electrician went into full denial mode that they didn't install that outlet and it's not in the paperwork. I paid well over 1000 dollars for the project which seemed high to install and upgrade some plugs but I wanted it done right. I even offered to pay for the double pole breaker to fix it and they wanted to charge a full service call to make it right. Complete lack of integrity and accountability. I am not sure how that outlet got there but being that I had to use an electrician to install the upgrade not sure how I would have managed to install that one. I'm sure there are much better companies that actually stand for something you could use!

I called your office for service on two outlets that were not working in our bathroom. Chris Madena, your trechnician came to our house to troubleshoot the two outlets that were not working. I had a broken ankle and tried helping him. I thought that your technician would be able to fix these repairs without my help. Chris, took numerous pictures of our control panel...OK - then he asked me numerous times for my help. After 4 hours and no repair had been done, Chris said he had to leave, but I should pay him for the visit... I asked him to cap off the live wires, before he left.... which he gave me an attitude comment. I was left hanging, what to do now? I realize he is no longer working for your company..However, I am out $248.00 for nothing. I thought he would come by our house the next day or call us. We did not hear from your company. t called MB Electrical and the two outlets were repaired within the hour, thanks to Mr.Billy McDonald at MB Electric Company. He was very efficiant and their charge was less than your technician charged me....when I hear your ad on the radio now, about not putting up with McLarky,....bad service..Yada, Yada and so forth.. No photo needed for this service call anymore...you got plenty from your tech, Chris.

* Electrician came out Jan 4, 2023
* Said he could not find the problem initially so he told me had to run additional diagnostics which would cost $300 (including the service fee)
* Turns out the problem could be clearly seen from a light that was out on a control panel related to my backup generator (yes - I'm kicking myself)
* Then he quotes me $1,500 to fix the problem (that is not a typo - $1,500)
* After regaining consciousness, I asked for a breakdown of parts, labor, etc.
* He said that could not be done (which is obviously ridiculous)
* Told him 'no thanks'
* Another provider came out today and fixed the problem - parts included - for $288
I've never had a more negative experience with a service provider than this.

Ron L.We called Mr Sparky about our lights flickering. Chris came out and did a whole house inspection which he said was needed. Then said we needed all of our light switches and plug ins rewired. Not knowing anything about electricity we thought that must be the problem.
It wasn't...after nearly a $4400 bill the next day our lights still flickered.
Can't get a response back ..that was Nov 1. They took advantage of elderly on social security!!

He was very knowledgeable and explained a lot of things to me. Although my current issue couldn't be solved by him, he pointed me into the right direction, proper steps, and I feel safe and positive about this. He even came to my door with his own shoe covers, although I had some waiting for him. This really impressed me. Thank you Baron, at Mister Sparky Electrical...Happy Holidays!!!
SUPER OVER PRICED! we installed 2 ceiling fans for $900 I could've gotten electrocuted and gone to the hospital for cheaper than that.
