Steve has been my go-to electrician for 3+ years! He is very thoughtful about the best approach in each situation - always offers me options to choose from, and explains benefits of each suggestion. He pays attention to the small details often overlooked by others, is on time and keeps me in the loop throughout the project. I've used Steve to wire my HotSpring spa, my FPX gas fireplace inserts, a variety of lighting projects to include my exterior porch lighting, recessed LED lighting, and is now scheduled to set up the electrical/cable over my fireplace so I can put my TV over the fireplace.

Steve has been a savior as our electrician.
Unlike SO MANY others who don't reply, are late or no-shows, are unorganized yet waaaay over-priced, Steve is responsible, highly skilled and fairly priced. All the tasks he completed were handled correctly (to code) and quickly. I could also talk through a problem (ie, numerous lighting switches and sources) and he offered more sensible solutions that I hadn't seen.

Steve Johnson provides services as an electrician as he's changing his business model due to competition for security systems from the big players such as Bay Alarm. He did work for me in his capacity as an electrician. He took my call, even while on a long weekend trip with his wife and was wonderful about coming out on a Sunday to fix a problem with my Hot Springs Spa as soon as he got back the next day. He showed me the problems with it and even drove off for a hour to get a spare part. He was prompt polite and very knowledgeable. I am extremely impressed with him and would definitely recommend him to anyone. He's your guy if you have an emergency electrical issue in the Bay Area and need to get hold of someone good at short notice.
