Exorbitant pricing. The plastic on/off switch on my main breaker in the house was broken. When scheduling the appointment, I told Mike Gibson Electric what the problem was. The technician arrived promptly for his 7:30am appointment and within 10 minutes of his arrival said he needed to go get the repair part which he said he did not have on his truck. This is rush hour in the metro Atlanta area. He returned about an hour and 15 minutes later and within 10 mintues had installed the part. He said the charge was $340. I manage rental property and have an electrician I regularly work with, but unfortunately he was out of town this week. I called Mike Gibson, the owner, the next day to ask why I was charged such a high amount. I asked him what his bill rate was for his technicians and I was told $65 per hour. (The technician spent the majority of his time driving/not on the job site.) I asked why there was such a markup on the repair part and his explanation was ""Mr. Sparky would have charged you that much.""

Way overcharged for service - management refused to discuss costs in spite of emails, calls, written letter. Took blatant financial advantage of single female.

Today was the second time I used Mike Gibson Electric and I am just so happy with them! They are always on time (if not early) and so polite. They are very clear about what they are doing and have never treated me like I was dumb (even though I just needed to change a light bulb in one case). The price is more than fair. I am so pleased to have found them!
