Definitely must update.
Mike Diamond guy came out, late, and after 5 or 6 calls to dispatcher. But they heavily radio advertise and say if not on time, 'smell good' service is free. Phoned the manager... was told he'd call back. Phoned again... no reply.

When I contacted them in writing, pointing out their radio ad guarantees-- they lied to me. Said they had phoned me and talked to me (not!) and said I'd used some internet coupon that limits their guarantee...? Uh, I did not USE a coupon. Went to the Better Business Bureau site, and many people have filed complaints, citing their fradulent radio ads.

SO... am agreeing with the MANY people who think they do not stand behind their word. Sorry I fell for their bogus ads.

Screw you Mike Diamond. I used you before and never had a complaint. But today I waited for a plumber to arrive between 1p and 4p. I received a phone call at 4:08 pm to inform me the plumber was stuck at another job and can't make it but will schedule me for Monday. If I wanted a plumber to come out on Monday that when I would have scheduled for Monday. So I asked can they come Sunday, the next day and they said the window will be between 1p to 4p. That wasn't acceptable to me. I wasn't going to sit around all day again just to get screwed. Being a returning customer they should accommodate me and make up for their screw up and have someone come out in the morning. But the idiot from the call center, Stephanie was too stupid or low on the totem pole to understand customer service and said the manger will call me Monday.
Save the call. Go fuck yourself. One thing I hate is bad customer service and lack of consideration for my time.

I have just two words for Mike Diamond and his smell good plumbers... ""YOU STINK.""

I have three more words... ""Bait and Switch.""

First, I called Mike Diamond and the plumber that showed up was from George Brazil. Is George related to Bubba?

Second, I called for the $99 clog removal that they advertise like crazy on radio for my guest bathroom toilet. When the $99 short snake did not work, the ""bait and switch"" hit high gear. I was told the charge for removing and replacing the toilet is $700... Keep in mind, this requires: turning off the water, flushing the toilet (both of which I had already done), removing 2 (count them TWO) nuts and carefully lifting the toilet out of the way.

Incensed, I removed it myself and called Bryco Plumbing who cleared the drain of tree roots and replaced the toilet (including a new wax ring) for $249.

My grandfather was right... If a deal seems too good to be true... It is!!!

P.S. While this is not the closest Mike Diamond to my property, it is the one that comes up #1 on Yelp Searches. Since they are one big company and reviews by Jennifer G. and Matt C. confirm my experience, I feel it is appropriate to post my review here.

We called Mike Diamond to come out and unclog our drain. As he was working on our drain he said he needed a longer snake to unclot our drain and said it would cost us $490.00. My husband said we'll call someone else.
We called another plumber he unclogged the drain in minutes and charged us $65.00.
I was so disappointed in Mike Diamond, I truly thought it was a reputable company.

Unfortunately I will be telling friends and family of this experience with them and tell people never to call you.
You took advantage of two senior citizens living in a mobile home on a budget.
He even asked us if we were seniors and he would only charge us $390.00.
Again, I'm sorry this had to happen. I hear your advertisements on the radio all the time.

I won't even rate them! Set up an appointment on line late Friday night, they called the next morning to see what type of service I needed. I told them the toilet was running,(normal my son-in-law does this for me but he was out of town.) We made the appointment window for 1-5, they called me at 4:45 to tell me they couldn't make it. After being very upset with the call being so late they said they would take care of me on Sunday with the window being 9-11, it is now 11:30 no show or call. Will never Call them again unless I want to sit around on a Weekend and get nothing else Done!!! Try to post but I had to rate them.

WOW I wish I'd read these reviews seriously full of crap lazy crooks. The tech didnt bother to move a box to find the other clean out. Yeah you may offer a 99 Main Line snake but you get what you pay for!!
Mike Diamond has always have a bad reputation for being salesmen and now they've proven it to me that their reputation of being shysters is true

These people are straight up thieves. A friend recommended I call them when my tub spout started dripping. It's something we could have fixed ourselves but just didn't have the right tools. It's a simple cartridge...I've seen my dad replace the ones in my parents' house, and he's not even incredibly handy.

First, they said a plumber would arrive between 1 pm and 5 pm, but he didn't come until 6 pm. I was on my way home from work, so my boyfriend met him. They called me so I would know what was going on. Initially, the plumber says the spout isn't dripping. Ummmm....can you not see it? It drips 24/7. Then he says yes, it drips, but it only drips because there is water leftover in the spout that needs to come out. Ummmm...so when we leave for a night or a weekend and come home and it's still dripping, you want us to believe there is THAT much water in the spout that needs to come out?

So then he says he can replace the cartridge but it will be ""a hundred fifty dollars."" This sounds reasonable to me...it will keep us from having to go buy tools and do it ourselves. Then he says the number again, and it sounds like ""eight hundred fifty dollars."" I ask him to clarify...you mean one fifty, right? Like 1 5 0? No...he actually means $850! WTH? I had my entire house repiped last year for only $2000. You cannot expect me to believe that nearly 45% of that cost was in the tub spout cartridge. The piece costs like $40 at Home Depot. I actually asked the guy if he thought I was a moron. He claimed he didn't...he was just quoting the price ""in the book."" You know, because they have markups and stuff.

As a comparison...I called a handyman that many of my neighbors use for minor home repairs. He repaired the tub spout for $55, which included parts and labor.

Moral of the story: Don't call Mike Diamond unless you want to pay 15x more than you should for a plumbing job. They claim to be the smell-good plumbers...But I smell a rat!

They didn't call, or show up at their promised time.

I called, told I was next and should get a call soon. 2 hours later a call that the technician would not be coming.

They asked if they could reschedule... Too many other choices out there to be treated like this.
