I can't believe Mike Diamond is still in business! Many years ago they were on one of those 20/20 or Dateline shows where there was a hidden camera in a home & they called several plumbing companies out to fix a problem that didn't exist. Mike Diamond was one of the companies that were caught on camera ripping people off! Our experience with them was at least 7 years ago (apparently by the reviews they haven't changed their business practices); my dad's thermostat broke, he found Mike Diamond in the phone book & called. They sent a technician who replaced the thermostat with an old one that they no longer even sold in stores, AND charged my dad $700 !!! My dad had dementia, he didn't understand so he paid. Next day when I learned of this I immediately called the bank and cancelled the check, bought a thermostat at Lowe's (under $30) and my husband installed it. Packaged the outdated rip-off thermostat from Mike Diamond and mailed it back to the company. THEY ARE SHAMEFUL THIEVES PREYING ON SENIORS. Baffled as to how they stay in business, attorney fees must be outrageous for them!

These guys came to install a faucet. Charged me $400. Either that or pay them a service fee, and they would leave. I'll never use again

called on a weds. and they said could not be there till friday. i should have taken that as a warning. they are the most expensive plumber in the world!! $700 to fix a running toilet. i am sooo stupid !

We had a broken hose bib outside that was absolutely gushing and there wasn't anyway to stop it except for shut all water off to the house. And of course, it happened at about 7pm on Valentine's day, so I called every plumber in town listed as ""24 hour"" service and no one was available because all the plumbers ""were taking their wives out to dinner"" (not joking, three different plumbers told me this). BUT, thankfully, I called Mike Diamond, they were the only ones who could make it. I talked to them at 9 and the plumber got there at 10:30pm and was there until midnight! And he fixed the problem, at least temporarily. So for late night emergencies, definitely, definitely recommend.

Should have checked here first before calling. Called last night and was given a 1-5pm window for today. I called them today at 4:15 and they said there was nothing scheduled. I lost half a day of work to be here. Now they tell me they can't be here until tomorrow. Trying elsewhere, don't believe their advertisements.

Had water heater pilot problem, they sent a plumber and he told me that they dont have parts for rheems water heater as they are east coast manufactured. He didnt charge me and recommended that i get the parts from the manufacturer. He also recommended to buy a bradford water heater next time as they are made in westcoast and are well made. He didnt charge me, appreciated the recommendation.

This plumbing company use to be great. however, when i needed a service last week, i called them and set an appointment. they never showed up. i called about an hour pass the window time i was given and the person in the phone couldn't even find my name. i gave them another chance and set another appointment. they showed up on time. the tech who exam the toilet problem i have, said that he need to disassembly the entire toilet bowl and reinstall it. it will cost $470.00 plus parts. i refused to pay that estimate as it sound super expensive and paid the $76.00 visit fees and send him away. i called anther plumber, that showed up on time, exam the situation and found the the flipper inside the water tank need to be replace. the entire visit and the parts cost $85.00. this company went down and no supersize why their rate is getting lower and lower.

We really should have looked at the reviews here before calling Mike Diamond.Our sink was backed up and not draining so we made a service appointment the next day. Friendly service rep but after trying to clear the clog, told us we'd need to have a Jet clean for about $400 and he wasn't even sure that would help. His other recommendation was to replace the piping because it had horrible build up that was completely blocked. He couldn't get a hold of his boss so we scheduled him to come out the next day for assessment. My husband also scheduled for Roto Rooter to come out because they do a camera check. In minutes of the Roto Rooter service tech coming out he had the clog cleaned and everything working great, when the Mike Diamond tech said he couldn't clean it the basic way.

With the recommendation from Mike Diamond we were stressing about them having to rip up our cement outside or even worse rip up our kitchen tiles if need be. Roto Rooter took care of the clog for just under $250. I am so glad we got a second opinion and saved ourselves from ripping up our property. Def don't recommend Mike Diamond.
