These guys are great! They were prompt, professional and located and repaired the problem in less than an hour. Did I mention reasonable? YAY!

Called twice, left messages. Never returned my call. Lame.

John Mighetto and his assistant, Micah just installed a new electrical service box at our place. They were very helpful, nice to work with and responsive to our problems. We had some odd and esoteric issues with prior electrical work and it took some real problem solving. Thanks to their hard work...it all got done on time and successfully. They seem to have a good relationship with the city of El Cerrito and the PG&E company. It was a quality job for a fair price. Thank you Micah and John.

Pretty sure I called and emailed earlier and never got a reply but this time I got a quick (same day) callback and a quick next day appointment.
Micah was the electrician and I was very pleased and satisfied with his work and helpful demeanor. He tolerated my hovering and asking questions. He troubleshooted the issue efficiently (isolating the problem between several sockets and light switches on the same breaker)... Original construction/electrician did a shoddy job of managing the wires behind a simple light switch and had the ground touching another wired/hot connection. Probably the last place to troubleshoot (since had multiple bathroom fans and lights and outlets on the breaker) but his approach didn't waste time and isolated the issue to that switch quickly.
This originally happened when the light was not even on which added to the mystery of the breaker going off and then staying off (as if the breaker was bad), because it completely shorted the circuit.
I also had a three way light switch I wanted to change out but one box was all the same wire colors and my non-contact detector didn't seem to work to help figure out the wiring. He figured it out in a few seconds and installed the new z-wave switches which worked right away.

My family recently moved to a single family home in Kensington. Could not figure out why two of the three sockets in the living room were dead. Called John on the phone who patiently explained these old homes ( this one built in 1947 ) were wired funny. He advised me to check the main room switch and 'Voila!' ... the sockets weren't dead after all.
The moral to this story is that John is a great businessman ... did not know me at all, yet took the time to help me. As a result, he has gained a loyal customer should I ever need ... and I would whole-heartedly refer him as well. Thank you John!

I have known John Mighetto for over 3 years. He is a great electrician and a really nice guy. He charges a fair price for top quality work. I know contractors that swear by him. Why would you trust something as important as electrical wiring in your home to anyone else? I recommend Mighetto Electric for any electrical issue.

John came to my house soon after I called about a small job -- replacing a circuit in the box outside the house. He helped me troubleshoot the real problem and fixed it within 10 minutes. Despite his time and trip out to my house, he didn't even charge me. He is very generous in addition to being knowledgable and responsive.

John is an excellent electrician. He is responsive, intelligent and friendly. I would highly recommend him for residential/light commercial work. He is a great troubleshooter.

John went out of his way to help me with an electrical problem at my home. Did excellent work. Bright, cheerful and highly capable. Couldn't have been more satisfied with his work.

I needed to switch out some old outlets with new ones, around six. I called and emailed and finally got a hold of Mr. Mighetto and made an appointment.
A few days before the appointment, I called to let him know that the number of outlets would be closer to ten and wondered if that would be a problem. No response. I emailed him. No response. On the day of the appointment, I called first thing in the morning during business hours. Voice mail. I finally get an email later that morning that he would have to reschedule to accommodate the increased number of outlets from 6 to 10.
After leaving my phone number several times a few days before, I would have appreciated a call back prior to the appointment day...or at least an email.
Emailing to cancel and reschedule an hour before the appointment is unacceptable and unprofessional. Mr. Mighetto wasted the morning I set aside to be at home.
I called Mr. Mighetto to set another day and time. I emailed him to set another appointment. No response.
A week passes. I call another electrician, get an estimate, and get the job done the next day.
If Mr. Mighetto is busy, I understand. But he should at least return his calls and emails to communicate with his clients. Instead of waiting at home wondering if he is going to show, I could have gone to work.
