I have used Mickey for 3 fixes: two ceiling fans and a flat screen TV electrical box install. He has done excellent work, stuck to his initial estimate (even though the job proved harder and took longer than anticipated), and is very friendly. He talked me through all of the options for each job. He cleaned up and put everything back the way it was before the work was done. I will hire him again and would be happy to recommend him to a friend.

Went above and beyond to make sure they did everything they could, answered my questions, and asked for approval of the work once it was completed. They were available on relatively short notice. Mickey rounded the total down after applying the Yelp discount. I had a little trouble getting a receipt, and it seems more like a mom-and-pop than a ""professional"" organization, but otherwise I'd say this is a 5-star service.

I called this company on a Saturday morning when I was unable to reach my usual electrician/repairman. I asked him what his trip fee was and he asked me where my property was located. I mistakenly gave him the unit number for the apartment. I called my supervisor to get approval for his $90 trip charge and was unable to get approval. I never called this company back to schedule the work or to tell them I wasn't going to use them. Instead of the technician waiting for a call back from me, he just showed up at the tenants front door on Sunday afternoon claiming it was going to cost $600 to replace the breakers. Haha I don't think so. He proceeded to yell at me about non-existent fire hazards and then tried to negotiate with me to pay him $320 for the job. Again, HA! I'm not an idiot. I told him I never gave him written or verbal approval to begin any work, that he did not have any authorization to be on the property and to please leave the premises. Now, two weeks later, he somehow found my office address information and sent me an invoice for the unauthorized work I told him not to perform. Sorry buddy, not this time.

Also, I had my repairman go out on Monday and replace the breakers for $60!!!!!

I went with this guy based on reviews on Yelp, but turned out to be a disaster. He is very arrogant and has a vicious temper. Sometimes I wondered who works for who. He was never professional and will never hire him again. I am scratching my head to see how can so many Yelpers be wrong!

Called Mickey on a Friday to get an estimate on replacing my circuit panel for my condo. He was nearby and showed up within ten minutes and provided an excellent estimate and said he could do the work the next day, Saturday around 9. Him and his cousin showed up around 9:30 and had all the work done by 3pm. No small task either, Replacing an entire circuit panel, new box, and replacing all the breakers, grounding all the wires, etc. I watched and learned as his cousin did most the work which was very professional. All the wiring was done very professionally and clean looking and in the end when I turned the main power back on everything worked the first time with no incidents. Very impressed. Definitely recommend.

Update: lowered my review rating from 4 to 2 stars after further research of Licensing of Mickeys Electric. I'm pretty sure that Mickey would have done a great job, BUT I was more concerened of the the liabilities of things going bad and our insurance would not cover any damages due to the fact that a UNLICENSED contractor did the work. I even called him again to verify if he was licensed, and he Immediately changed the subject. I couldn't even get a sentence in. Very disappointed. Tisk tisk tisk. With that aside, I will probably still hire him once the licensed is renewed.

4 stars out of 5.... because work have not been done yet. This is due to me cancelling the work due to delays. Other than that, Mickey was prompt and very knowledgeable on estimating the work I wanted to get done. His suggestions was welcomed and we implemented them into our upgrades. The price..... =) very reasonable. I'm confident that when we do have Mickey and his team back, they will do an outstanding job. A future 5 stars review is near. Thanks Mickey.

Speedy, responsive, knowledgable, invested in his work, and affordable.
Besides his upbeat personality and desire to do good work, Mickey cares about lighting. He did extra work without charge to improve our lighting.

Super impressed with Mickey's Electric! We had them install a chandelier, an outlet, update our kitchen outlets, an outdoor flood light, a back porch light with an indoor switch, and fix some switch we botched up ourselves - and they did this all in one quick morning at a reasonable rate. They are efficient and friendly - especially the work leader and Mickey himself. He even offered us fixtures he had on hand if we hadn't already gotten them. He's a funny guy with a good sense of humor and the crew is all fun, too.

Mickey, is honest, focused, sincere, and charming behind a strong Hungarian accent - with a tenacious work ethic; balancing his staff, and triaged patients with ease and skill.

These guys know their job; give honest education, work for the value.

These guys are busy, cuz they are good. I'm sure they can't get to everyone, cuz they are non stop flurry of action. I feel very lucky when I called for a simple circuit breaker concern that basically lead to the replacement of a 20 year old electrical box with flimsy breakers that were arching and shorting different outlets every other day. Much like a triage patient, Mickey interrupted other work based on a few Q/As and arranged his staff to replace the whole box and rewire it in the same day. When you can hear the sparks in a breaker box, I guess it is possible we got the right magician just in time to prevent a serious failure.

One piece of advice - clean your house; give these guys a clean place to work; they laid plastic and were very careful and neat - and they do appreciate being able to walk into a clean comfortable work site after some of the horror stories out there. Reminds me of a song - 'it pays big money' Damn worth every penny. I have an electrician. Thanks guys.
