Metro Electric established its initial office in Brownsville on July 4, 1973.
In the mid-1980s, Metro Electric, Inc. began expansion through the Mid- and Upper Rio Grande Valley.
A branch was established in McAllen in 1985.
The Harlingen branch office opened in 1999.
Currently, the McAllen office serves as Metro Electric's headquarters.
