My home flooded during Hurricane Beryl, taking about an inch or two of water throughout the entire house. My wife and I just bought the home in 2023, and we're devastated as we watched everything get demolished and removed.

We spent a lot of time looking at reviews online and selected 3 companies to come provide a quote. Miguel (the owner) immediately stood out from the others from the quality of his online reviews. We scheduled an appointment for him to come review the house and provide a quote. He arrived when he said he would arrive and was extremely thorough during his walkthrough of the house. He answered all of our questions (we had a lot) and consistently focused on ""what do you actually want."" He was the only contractor who wasn't focused on just rebuilding what was lost. He consistently stated that this is our chance to do things we wanted and provided insightful options. The total cost quoted was extremely competitive compared to the others, even with upgrades selected. He also stated that he would help with the insurance company and work with me while I dealt with them on payment. Little did my wife and I know at the time, but we made the absolute best decision that day.

Miguel's crew began work immediately. As they worked through the house, they didn't just focus on the contract. They consistently went above and beyond in calling out issues with my house. Our home was built in 1973 and had poor quality remodels through the years. There were fire hazards with electrical work, rotting wood in my walls, and the support beams weren't properly bolted to my foundation. When they got to the flooring, my house was extremely uneven (which we knew because my son's balls would roll to the wall). They took the time to level out my floor before putting down the new flooring. Most companies would just hide these items and cover them up, sticking to the contract. Not here. They called them out one by one and provided solutions to build everything back correctly. This was such a huge blessing and shows that Miguel and team focus on quality. They consistently went above and beyond. Focusing on the little details (light switches and ceiling light placement) as much as the major items. During the remodeling process, his crew cleaned up every single day. They swept the house, took out trash, and never left a mess.

On top of the quality work which you can see below. The items the really stood out to me are the following. Miguel always responded to phone calls, texts, and consistently showed up to the house to walk through the property with me. I always felt like I had a voice. There were a couple items that were completed, and I wanted to change slightly. Miguel took the time to understand our asks and never pushed back or complained around rework. He consistently focused on his original comments around ""exactly what we want."" He worked with me on payments when the insurance company was slow to payout and the bank held my funds in escrow, as promised. His promises around working with the insurance company also came through. He showed through actions, that he is a man of integrity and consistently delivered to those promises.

We feel extremely blessed and would recommend this company to friends, family, and utilize them again in the future. What was a disaster has become a blessing. We have a brand-new home, completed timely, for a very reasonable price. We are over the moon to move home and can't stop talking about how beautiful our home is, far exceeding expectations. Stop searching, you found the right contractor for your home.

I'm really glad I went with Mendiola Remodeling and Construction for my bathroom remodel. Miguel and crew did a solid job converting my bathroom from a tub to walk-in-shower. I was really impressed with his team's professionalism and work ethic. They handled everything including returning broken tiles at Floor and Decor and also offering ideas to lay the tile. They were all kind and respected my space everyday. Also Miguel was flexible with my work schedule and payment plan. He's easily accessible by text or phone which was important to me. This was a stress-free project for me thanks to Miguel and his great team! It went so smooth and I now have a beautiful bathroom!

We called Miguel with a vague thought about turning our laundry room into more usable laundry/mudroom for a family of four. Miguel came over within a week and turned those ideas into a blueprint of exactly what we wanted. The project involved moving the existing washer/dryer connections, adding a second set of connections, removing a wall and broom closet, adding cabinetry along two walls, installing granite countertops, new tile flooring, and remodeling the attached powder bathroom. I would highly recommend Miguel and his team. Any time there is an issue he is very transparent and generally offers multiple solutions. This is the second time Miguel has come through for us and we will not hesitate to call him again.

Miguel and his crews did a fabulous job for us. We did a major remodel of our 2 story home. there wasn't a single room that went untouched. Miguel helped us reimagine the layout of the house in ways I couldn't imagine on my own. He moved the stairs from the front of the house to the back, removed the fireplace and chimney and repaired all the damage caused by the removal. I gave Miguel and his crews many challenges and they rose to every one of them. I love my new home! The attention to detail was so appreciated. Over the months of work, Miguel and his men became like family. Our house was rewired, re plumbed, a half bath was made into a whole bath and a half bath was added. The master bath was reworked and a wet room was installed. The tile work was fabulous. We put in all new floors. I could not be happier with the results!!!!

We needed a complete overhaul on our kitchen. We did have a bad experience in the past and took us a long time to settle on a contractor for the kitchen. Choosing Mendiola Remodeling was a great decision. Miguel listened to us took our requests made some suggestions and together we came up with the final design. He made some great suggestions and saved us from making costly mistakes.
We did live in the house throughout the entire remodel and got to see the entire process first hand. His guys were very professional and respectful of our house. At the end of every day they will clean up after themselves, pick up their tools and remove all the garbage form the yard. Miguel would often stop by, check on the progress and chat with us about the process and if we had any concerns. He even rolled his sleeves and helped his guys with the framing on a Saturday.
The remodel was done a week ahead of the schedule. All the work is really high quality, finishes are spotless and we have and amazing kitchen.
If you are looking for a contractor to do any work in your house, look no further. Mendiola Remodeling is the only contractor we will be using in the future.

Mendiola Remodeling & Construction did a fantastic job with the remodeling of my master bathroom. Since day one they worked with me and literally redesigned my bathroom. This being my first time doing a major remodeling project they took the time and explained everything to me in addition to having great communication throughout the remodeling process. Because of global shortages some of the items I needed to buy were in back order but they were flexible enough and worked with me on delaying the start date to accommodate for this. I cannot say enough praises for the wonderful working crew this company has. Each one of them were very respectful of my home and very knowledgeable. I'm very happy with how my master bathroom looks and will definitely use this company again in the future.

We absolutely love the work that Mendiola Remodeling completed on our home! Everyone is very courteous and professional, and every tradesman did a great job. They helped with our kitchen, primary bath, adding doors to our study, and replacing part of our fence. The level of communication was excellent, and throughout the entire process Manny and Miguel both checked in to make sure we were happy. We will definitely work with them again, and I have referred them to multiple people since they helped with our home :)

We hired this company to remodel an upstairs bathroom. The lack of professionalism is shocking. Many things went wrong; however, the icing on the cake is when I sent a picture of our towel bar coming out of the wall after less than a month. Their response was ""the towel holders have the proper ankers that came with it and are not designed to withstand any other than a twol weight, they are not as strong as a handle bar! Maybe someone put too much weight on it, I will recommend you to get heavier duty anchors if your hanging something to heavy!"" We have never in 27 years of living in this house had an issue with towel bars coming out of the wall. They apparently do not stand behind their work.
