First I want to thank MEL elec for coming to our aid in a time of need! We had a kitchen remodel scheduled with our regular electrician coming in ahead to make some needed changes for cabinet placement, etc. A few days before he was scheduled to come, we got a call that the electrician has been called out of town due to a death in his family. I checked Yelp for a new electrician, called MEL Elec. and they had Eric scheduled to come out within the timeframe needed. As far as Eric is concerned, he could not be nicer. He is extremely knowledgeable and was met with several challenges of an old house which he resolved. He explained some of the code requirements and did a great job for us. We would highly recommend MEL Electric and especially, Eric.

Moved to a home in Napa CA with my Tesla, but no wall charger. As Tesla recommended MEL as an experienced installer of their wall chargers in the Napa area, I asked MEL for an estimate for installation of a unit in my garage. Matt arrived the next day, as promised, and sent an estimate that afternoon. The estimate was quite reasonable, and I was added to their schedule for the next week, much sooner than I had expected. The electrician arrived to do the installation when promised. He went above and beyond in order to add an additional circuit to my maxed out main panel. Bottom line: Mel's customer interface was superb, the electrical work was exemplary, and the total experience was delightful. I will be asking MEL to do the electrical work for the renovations planned for my Napa home. Thanks MEL!

I really like working with this outfit. I've hired them for a few projects, including a whole-house lighting retrofit, replacing all switches/outlets, installing timer circuits for some external lighting, and a bunch of other residential remodeling-related projects.

Their staff show up on time, are polite, friendly, and very professional. While in my home, they take care to protect flooring, and don't cause any unnecessary damage to anything else. They stick to the quoted bid and I don't think I've had one over-charge on anything despite a random callback for a minor installation issue.

I would highly recommend MEL Electric for any electrical project, I know we'll be hiring them for more upcoming work.

Everyone I've dealt with--from the office staff who answer the phones and handle scheduling, to the electricians in the field--are polite, friendly, and professional. And somewhat surprising these days, they are able to schedule work relatively quickly. I would never hesitate to use MEL!

The team that came out to do the work were also excellent, asking questions as they went along to ensure there were no bad surprises.
They worked hard and efficiently, and finished in less time that was originally anticipated. MEL will be my go-to company for future electric needs!
