These guys spent a lot of time trying to figure out a problem that turned out to be voltage flicker cause by a corroded/loose neutral at the PG&E transformer. They acted like they fixed the problem and charged me nearly a grand, it but it really wasn't repaired until PG&E came out for free. These guys did answer the phone and actually showed up (better service that I can say for most here on our coast) but it still took a couple weeks to troubleshoot and attempt to repair. I'm lucky someone mentioned it might be a PG&E issue, so I called them and a PG&E troubleman came out and fixed issue the same day. I would think that an electrician might know enough to trace a voltage flicker issue back to PG&E and let us know prior to making two trips out and misdiagnosing the issue both times and charing us several hundred dollars. I might give Mehls another chance in the future, but this was a pretty dissapeointng first experience calling them.

During a recent lengthy PG&E power outage, our generator started failing and shut down. Despite being quite busy, Darin came out at 7pm that day and got it going and came back the next morning to replace the battery and check on it. Two days later, Chase came by to correct a wiring issue that should prevent the problem from recurring. Not sure what more we could have expected under those conditions. These guys are terrific.
