When we decided to add solar to our house, we were very skeptical of the companies we saw advertising. We had a few come to give us estimates but when Gary from Mega Power came, he spent a lot of time with us. He explained the details of everything we can expect. His pricing was also very competitive. When it came time to install the panels, they worked with our roofer (we had just reroofed the house) to make sure that the posts for the panels would be resealed and still warranted by our roofer. They were very clean while working at our house and they finished the work quickly. DWP was not that easy to work with. They were changing the requirements of what was needed and even came back and told us we needed to replace our electrical boxes. Mega Power took care of everything, making sure the new requirements from DWP were met. The electrical panel replacement wasn't part of our contract with Mega Power but they took care of it for a nominal fee.

It has now been three years that we have had our panels and we cannot be more happy with them. Recently DWP came and replaced the cable from the pole to our house and afterwards our battery wasn't working. We called Mega Power and they came and took care of it. We do have a warranty with Mega Power and when we call them they are always responsive. We highly recommend them.

Seems I am the first one writing reviews for Mega Power. They actually had more reviews for the LA branch. I read those reviews and I can tell that Gary really cares about his reputation.

OK, my story. I was thinking of installing solar in early 2022, after learning NEM 3.0 in California would be delayed indefinitely. I started my journey with www.energysage.com, and got quotes from 6 local installers, including Mega Power Electric Inc. I've also reached out to SunPower, and left my contact at Sunrun in Costco. I finally decided to work with Mega Power for these reasons: 1. many positive reviews; 2. their price is very competitive; 3. I work directly with the owner German (Gary), who actually does the job. No sales; no project managers. While those sales people are nice and professional, the process is just as as efficient as talking directly with Gary. Mega Power does everything very fast. Gary came to our house and took some pictures; went back and shared his initial plan; we wanted two additional panels; Gary revised the plan (within 24 hours). One or two weeks later, Gary and his people were on my roof. Installation of 24 panels was done within one day. City inspector initially had questions about the ground wire. Gary and his team came back another time, and finished #4 ground wire upgrade within a couple of hours. Passed city inspection. Getting approvals from PG&E (final step) was a long story. Gary and Mega Power did whatever they could to help and I appreciate that. Overall experience with Mega Power was quite positive. Definitely recommend Mega Power for their efficiency, work quality, and communication. Additional data points I would like to share: while Gary and his team worked on installation, I was busy filing complaints with another company for their no show activity in the very first scheduled meeting. Oh, my wife and I already recommended Mega Power to another lady. I probably should collect some referral fee from Gary.

Mega Power was great to work with, they offered the best proposal with balance of pricing and quality of components. Everything went very smoothly from design, permits, installation, and inspections. Gary, the owner, was great to work with and always available. Their install team was also top notch and very friendly, they don't cut corners and do everything efficiently and the right way. The team arrived on time every morning and cleaned up the site before they left. I'm very happy with how everything turned out, system is now generating plenty of power and saving me money on my power bill. They also did a great job on installing a 14-50R for my EV charging.
