i m not a fan, i found them on yelp saw the many rave reviews, so i phoned them for a bid for some repairs, rewiring work in pomona right around their neighborhood, and they told me, half asleep abeit, at 11 am saturday morning, that they don't do that type of work, they do more new construction, if they are real electricians why dont they deal with wires or wiring i am SO annoyed, so my review is not a rave review no way

I called MEC and explained I wanted some work done to restore power to my outdoor lighting and fountains in my backyard. They told me they only do commercial work. I'm giving them 5 stars as I don't feel it's fair to downgrade them even though they didn't do any work for me. Thought people might want to know what kind of services they provide, and don't provide before they give them a call.

I was very happy with their service. They were on time and very clean. They cleaned after themselves and did a great job over all. I used them for recess lighting inside my house along with running some power.

Based on the positive reveiws left here, I placed a call and left a detailed message. 48 hours later, I still have not recieved a call back.

I based my decision to use MEC Electrical on all the reviews and positive feedback here on Yelp. I'm glad I did, and I could not be happier.

Louis came out and was right on time. Over the phone he was very easy to talk to and responsive to what I was asking him to do. He said when he showed up he'll walk through and give me an estimate, if I like the price he could start right then and there.

So the price was fair (too low and you know the guy is a little risky, too high and he's just trying to take advantage.) He was concise, there were no hidden fees, and he installed 4 recess lights, a new switch with dimmer and 3 motion sensors in the back yard. from start to finish (with lunch in the middle of all of it) he was done within 2 1/2 hours and the work looks great.

He and his crew were friendly, professional and knew their work. I'm glad I relied on yelp to find these guys and will definately use them again for any electrical needs.

In the past month and a half, I have been renovating my house from the floors to the electrical and it has been very stressful. However one of the easiest and best contractors I spent my money on was Louis at MEC Electrical.

I found Louis from the previous review and although it was just one review, it was enough to convince me. I think there should be more reviews for contractors on here as it is so vital to getting good work done. Louis is very professional. He has great branding from his clothes to his truck. Everyone loves his van, he got so many compliments about it from my neighbors. He showed up on time, gave an accurate estimate and showed up the next day (on Sunday) to do about 22 recessed lights and other electrical work. I needed it rushed since I had other contractors waiting on the lights to finish the ceilings.

The great thing about hiring licensed and insured contractors is that you really dont have to ""babysit"" them as much. They will get in and do a great job and move on. They don't have time to waste as they would rather be looking for their next gig. I had one set of unlicensed guys do some work and it was a huge pain in the butt because I had to babysit them the entire time.

You can't beat Louis's prices on recessed lights. They look great and he is fast. Give him a call today! You will not regret it

For the past 4 yrs that I have owned this damn old house, I've had all sort of electrical issues. I've had different electricians come out and fix things for me and everytime they are either idiots that shock themselves (not sure whether they are idiots b/c they been shocked too many times or vice versa?), or sleezballs that rip me off, or and the dishonest asshole that steals. I went thru a half a dozen electricians and they all SUCKED!

My lucky star must be shining on me this week when I found Louis. I called him and talked to him on the phone to have him come and replace all the outlets and switches in my house. He asked me how many there were and gave me an estimate right away over the phone. I was real nervous, so I called him twice more to ask him all sorts of questions, and he patiently explained everything to me. Next day, he came do do the job, very prompt - 5min early to the scheduled appt, really professional, came in with all his fancy schmansy tools, finished the job in 3 hrs. (I did call other electricians and some of them told me 6 or 8 hrs). Then he diligently checked every outlet and switch to make sure they worked. He then wrote me the invoice with the exact amount he quoted me the day before, not a single cent extra.

There's more, my mom's house down the street also had some electrical issues and so I asked him to go over there with me to check it out. He once again whipped out his fancy meter and checked a bunch of stuff out and patiently explained to me what he thought the problem might be. He was really up front about his hourly rates and his time contraints and told me to look for a switch to reset and that might fix it, if it doesn't then call him. He was real honest and very professional.

His rates are super reasonable, and they do a good job. Check their website to get an idea of all their services.
