Let me start by saying that I generally have bad experiences with contractors not meeting commitments, being over budget, and not performing the complete job specified. Nothing could be further from the truth from Nick and Josh at McWherters. Wow! They totally exceeded expectations.

Nick was amazingly thorough and generous with his time spec'g out the job in advance, which was no small deal given the complex electrical panels and subpanels at my home. He came out and gratis sleuthed around and figured out how my electrical system works. No charge. No commitment. No pressure. What a mensch!

Josh just finished the install. In 2 short hours. Cleaned up afterwards. No nicks or marks on the walls. Everything is neat, well labeled and tight. No drama. Love it.

I contacted them to come install a charger for my electric vehicle. They were prompt, but I thought the quote was a bit high so I had 3 other quotes done. They all came in roughly the same, so: 1. I was wrong; 2. they did quote me fairly from the beginning. I went with them and didn't regret it - they did a very professional job of the installation (scheduling, showed up when they said, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, and dealt with the city inspectors to get signoff).

Really top notch work, I highly recommend them.

We lost half our power supply a few months ago and could not use our major appliances. Called PG&E and discovered that our electric panel out back had seen its last days and we had to replace everything. Chris and his team were professional, efficient, reasonably priced and did an awesome job - and they guarantee their work. They replaced (and upgraded) everything. We are very happy with their service and highly recommend these guys!

Chris McWherter is great. He and his team installed the 240 volt electric outlet for our Tesla. Because of our 55 year old house, he had to upgrade our incoming panel to 200 amps. He took care of permits and got it inspected as soon as the job was done. He cares about what it looks like as well as the excellent quality of work done. Highly recommend him.

I recently used McWherter to install a 40Amp circuit and outlet to charge an electric car. They quickly provided a competitive estimate based on photos and an email description of the job. The crew arrived on time and were very professional. They installed the outlet, ran conduit, and added a breaker in a few hours. The city inspector arrived a few hours later and signed off on the installation. Job done, easy.

We lost power to our home in Pacifica after the big storm last month, and when PG&E finally came out to take a look, they (somewhat smugly) informed us that the problem was ours (apparently our main electrical panel was corroded), not theirs, and left us w/ ""And good luck finding an electrician this weekend."" Making matters even worse was the fact that we were supposed to host a party that weekend, which would be quite a feat w/ no power, so you can imagine how relieved we were when Chris answered the phone Saturday morning (I left messages w/ five other electricians listed on Yelp before I called Chris and none of them even called me back). He agreed to come over and take a look, even though he and his crew were absolutely swamped. Long story short, he was somehow able to find the right parts and juggle his schedule to get our power back on by Sunday morning, and our party went off w/out a hitch. I can't say enough good things about Chris--truly a miracle worker!
