We recently hired Martin to do some work at our house. His plan and price for the job were much better than the other quote we received. In a town where it is often difficult to get a company to call you back, Martin was easy to reach. He was professional, clean, and did great work on time at a fair price. He did such a good job that the spa company asked for his information so that they could recommend him to other customers in the area. We will definitely call MCN Electric for any future electrical needs.

In the process of putting in a new sauna, the electrical work required an upgrade of a 50+ year old box and wiring to facilitate the installation for my house in Susanville, CA. I called 4 different businesses and I was fortunate that the only one to reply was Martin from MCN. He contacted me within hours, made time to look at the project, and provided a detailed estimate in a few days. I approved the estimate and they finished the project ahead of schedule. The work was nothing short of excellent. The new box is great, everything is labeled and I am completely satisfied with the quality of the work and the level of expertise of Martin and John. The work was done exactly as promised, communication was consistent and professional, and I now know that if I need an electrician, I only need to make one call. From start to finish, the work was outstanding, the price was very reasonable, and I would recommend them (and have) to anyone who needs quality electrical work by skilled professionals.

I was visiting a friend who was concerned with the way her house had been wired in the kitchen. Not all of the outlets had GFCI plugs. She mentioned that she thought she had heard that all plugs within a certain distance of water had to have them. I Figured it was a stretch getting on Yelp for such a small town, but couple taps later and there was MCN Electric. Called and left a message. About 5 minutes later got a call back from the owner. Explain the situation about how it was my friends house and asked how much it would be to come take a look. He explained something along the lines of the way it could be wired and asked us if any other plugs had the GFCI buttons. They did. He asked us to trip one of them (if comfortable) and then try and plug something into the outlet (by the sink) that didn't have the same buttons. Viola! The outlet didn't work. We pressed the reset and everything was back to normal. At this point she ended up getting on the phone and he explained to her why things probably were the way they were. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and was excited to help even though afterwords we felt kind of stupid for being worried over something so little. I don't anticipate having any big problems in the future (who does?), but if I do I know just who to call.

This is the guy you want! He actually returns calls and shows up on time. He and helper installed a stand-by generator quickly and at a good price. Both licensed electricians really know how it should be done and have been doing it for many years. It appeared to me their number one concern is that it be done right and with quality products. They made sure everything was done to code and the county inspection took all of 15 minutes. They have a mobile workshop that is fully equipped with necessary tools and small parts. They show up on time, have the knowledge and experience, live in the community and do great work.
