Not organized or efficient. Didn't finish or messed up various aspects of work on our house necessitating hiring of others to take care of services they committed to (and were paid for).

Some of the younger guys are very nice (e.g., Leo) and Steve appears knowledgeable, but he seems to have so many jobs running at the same time that he can not give proper attention to commitments he has made (at least at our job site).

My recommendation is to go with someone else.

These guys are skilled but so lazy. They have continued to delay appointments with our contractor for over 2 months now, and we have yet to have all of our outlets and wiring running smoothly (we've been living here 3 months). In addition to putting off our appointments, during the last visit they made, they apparently had to leave in such a rush to get to their next job that they did not clean up after themselves. I wish I wasn't being serious, but I spent an hour cleaning up after full grown men; they left behind sawdust, woodchips, and a number of BITS OF COPPER WIRE on the floors through our home. We have a dog. I hope that all the copper wire I found was all that Steve and Leo left... I truly am hoping our dog didn't eat any other pieces I might have missed. If you decide to go with these guys, be wary and ready to clean up after them.

Our Company had an Emergency Yesterday, Two of the Building Fuses stop working so We didn't have any power, the fuses were 400amps, 250V so those are some big boys you don't want to replaced yourself. It was already around 4pm and after calling about 7 different companies We called these guys, Alberto showed up at our shop about 40 minutes after we called them and got the Job Done! He was very professional, went straight to the point and fixed the issue, his costumer skills were great but We were the most surprise of how affordable their price was. We are so happy We found this company and thanks to them the power is back and all our workers were able to come back to work today! I would totally recommend McKee Electric to all our friends and Companies we know around the city! GREAT JOB McKee Electric!

We needed an electrician asap. I found McKee Electric and decided to give them a call. I spoke to Steve and he couldn't have been more helpful with the quote over the phone. I found his rates reasonable to other electricians so we went with him. Due to having to take back he lights we were having installed, we had to cancel with Steve. Once we purchased the new lights I called him back and we scheduled the appointment for today, Sunday. He installed our new lights and a sensor so quickly I was impressed. We have his card and we will definitely use Steve again. I will also pass his name and number to my landlady who needs an electrician. Thanks Steve.

On President's Day 2015, we called this electrician in the late afternoon to fix a broken breaker that took out use of our garage door, washing machine, etc. By 6 p.m. Steve had arrived and by 7 p.m. the work was done.

It's really difficult to find an electrician to come the same day in S.F. Even more so on a holiday. The day before (Sunday) a different electrician from a different company came out. He messed with some wires that were working fine and after he left, we realized that some lights that were working fine before he showed up were not working. That ""other"" electrician said he would come back today (President's Day) but he did not. Steve had to rectify all the unnecessary things the first guy did as well as fix the original problem. All done expeditiously and at a fair price.

I must admit that when I read the one other Yelp review I was perplexed because I needed to click to page 13 or so on Yelp to find McKee Electric (not a quick search in my estimation). McKee Electric's license number is posted on Yelp so I did a (yes, quick) search in Google to get to the CA state website where you can check if an electrician's license is active and with the license confirmed we called McKee.

In the past we used B.V. Electric. They were okay but based on this experience, McKee was much quicker, articulate and had good manners.

A key learning for me from this experience is that it's worth it to page down in Yelp and not necessarily pick the person on the first page.

Some outlets mysteriously stopped working in my apartment recently, whereas the others remained fine. The repair people at my apartment complex had no clue what the problem was. After a quick Google search, I called up McKee Electric and asked for an estimate. It seemed reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment with Steven McKee for the next day. He was very friendly, professional, and obviously an expert. He methodically troubleshooted the issue, managed to find the problem, quickly fixed it, and even charged me much less than the estimate! Awesome customer service. I was very impressed! I highly recommend McKee Electric for high quality and affordable service! If I ever again experience any sort of electrical issues, I won't hesitate to call them first!

I recently had my kitchen remodeled and found out along the way that my electrical service had to be upgraded in order to provide more dedicated circuits directly from the panel to be used specifically for kitchen appliances. I was given a number by a friend whom had used McKee Electric in the past and I met with Steven McKee whom provided me with a free in home estimate of the work. I had two more estimates from other contractors and found that not only was McKee Electrics price lower but it also included permit fee's! The service upgrade and kitchen rewire took three days to complete and the inspections passed with no problems. Great work, great prices and a local (San Francisco) Family business to boot! Value.
