Brody and team did a lot of work for us over the past five years. They worked on our kitchen rehab, installed lights, did a couple of thousand dollars worth of work.
And then I needed a hardwired smoke alarm installed, and asked them to do it whenever they were in the neighborhood. Small job. And I never ever received a response to my five texts to Brody.
I found this extremely discourteous.

I've called Brody @ McElhanay Electric several times over the past few years and he's ALWAYS found a way to help me out of a jam!

Earlier this week, I had an electrical issue with a breaker randomly tripping. I called on Monday, described the problem to Brody and he had a crew out first thing the next morning!

Cody and Austin were professional, efficient and extremely knowledgeable! They had my issue fixed in less than an hour!

I have a home warranty and they contracted this company out. McElhany never scheduled an appointment for my service request. Personally reached out to them multiple times. No response. Even my home warranty company couldn't get ahold of them. Had to reassign the contract because of their unprofessionalism.

I am so incredibility disappointed with Brody (the owner) at McElhany Electric Company in Pensacola. As a Real Estate Agent I rely on my circle of vendors who can help my buyers and sellers. I have referred McElhany on to personal friends....and then when I need them for a seller's wiring issue (possible aluminium wiring), after sending the inspection report I can't even get a call back or a response to phone messages or text messages over a two day period. Certainly not a company I can depend on. I guess they can just choose the easy, money making jobs.

We hired these guys based on a referral last year to change out a ton of light bulbs in our home. We have very tall ceilings and many different types of bulbs, so we needed help to change them out. I am not positive, but I believe this firm is who did all the electrical work in this house when it was built over ten years ago.

Anyway, they came and did half the job with a promise to order the rest of the bulbs and come back to finish the job. We got their invoice for the work they had done so far. The invoice was north $700 and was promptly paid by us. We then called them four times to see about finishing the job. Apparently, they were not interested in keeping their word as the owner did not even bother to return our calls. I am sure they had more exciting work to do, but how do leave people hanging like this is beyond bad customer service. I would NOT recommend this firm to anyone.

By the way, you might notice all of their other reviews were written on 6/12/2019 & 6/13/2019. Hmm...

We had another firm come out and finish the job today. They are Bay Electric. They are very competent and professional. I highly recommend them and their owner.

McElhany did a WONDERFUL job at my business. I could not recommend them enough. They showed up on time, every time, & finished the job faster(& cheaper) than anyone else we had gotten quotes from. I would not hesitate to tell you to use them!!
