Had a problem with electric. Thousands of dollars later, a plea on Next Door for a recommendation. I called Maynard. Electrician checked my wiring, advised it checked out fine and I wouldn't burn to death in my sleep. The problem was intermittent, so power on one side of house went in and out. Suggested I call Duke while it was happening. I did. It was in the connection from the wire coming into the house. Problem solved. Very fair price.

They were priced right, prompt, and professional. The only delay was securing the permit. I wasn't completely satisfied with how the box fit into the wall but it is out of the way and out metal studs are hard to work on. The business was very responsive to supplying an item that was promsied but not installed and took care of it right away. This is an established local business that is family owned and has a well deserved resputation. Get a quote from these folks first as you start comparing prices.

I wasn't sure who to call for an issue I was having with a fluorescent light in my garage, so I looked on yelp and saw that Maynard seemed to have good reviews. I sent an email to Maynard with my issue, and received a response phone call within a day. After describing mu issue, the person on the phone seemed to know exactly what my problem was and indicated what she expected the service call to cost. We scheduled the appointment, and the technician came right when they said he would, quickly fixed the problem, and charged me the amount estimated. I am very pleased with the service we received from Maynard and would not hesitate to utilize them again.

I needed an electrician to run power to an exterior pump my plumber was installing. He suggested Maynard Electric. Glad he did. Electrician showed up on time, ready with the right parts and equipment. Work was quick and perfectly executed. Talking with the office was great. Maynard Electric had a lot of positive reviews across the board with Yelp, Nextdoor and referrals. For some reason, lights over the master bath vanity were never installed. Not much of a problem for me but the other half was not happy. Normally, I could handle something so simple but there was no I could do this because of the low attic ceiling and the other side is an outside wall. They came in, installed the pair of lights, added dimmers and now my life is easier. Last week, they came and tested the power going out to our dock. The contractor who installed our new lift motors said the improper voltage burned them out. Maynard came out, ran multiple tests, and gave us proof that this was not the case. We were able to get the burned-out motors with Maynard's documentation. I am happy with their service.

We needed our pool electrical updated and called Maynard Electric. They were very responsive. We set a date and they came out and looked at the current installation, made suggestions to improve it (being outside and mounted to the house, the electrical is exposed to weather and the salt water environment). An estimate was provided and date to do the work was scheduled. On the agreed date, the electricians arrived promptly and reconfigured and replaced the old electrical components, and re-secured the electrical conduits with new clamps and stainless screws. It looked great when they finished. Before they left the job, they checked the pool's underwater lights and found the wrong light bulbs installed. The wattage was too high! If they hadn't gone the extra mile and checked the lights, my new transformers might have been damaged. They got the proper size bulbs, installed them and check that both worked perfectly. I saw first-hand that the Maynard Electric technicians truly pride themselves on doing the job right. From my experience, I would definitely use them again.

I had a breaker that kept tripping and several outlets that did not work. After being stood-up by two other contractors I decided to check the BBB site. ""Maynard Electrical"" was give an A+ rating. When I called for an appointment I found several staff members to be courteous, patient, and very clear about appointment procedures and costs. They helped the process flow very smoothly. I also verified that Maynard service techs were licensed.

The technician, Eric, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and very proficient. He used a meter to test every outlet. He explained that several outlets were not broken: They were part of a ""dual switch hook-up"" ( one outlet requires a corresponding switch to be turned- on for it to operate). He also found a short in the #15"" breaker unit. He asked what I wanted to fix without any sales pressure or talking me into unnecessary repairs. In less than an hour, he troubleshot, explained in detail, replaced one outlet, one switch unit, and one breaker unit. All for less than $100 ( includes service call, labor, and parts). Refreshing to find reputable businessmen with professional skills. Will highly recommend without reservation.
