Carlos came on a very short notice and spent time to completely diagnose an intermittent electrical (overhead light) problem that others had been unable to resolve.
He persevered to the extent he opened up the ceiling to find the wiring that was causing the problem. His rate was completely reasonable.

I have not any work done but I do want to comment in general of my experience.

First off we make an appointment which they cancel an hour prior and than we ask for Friday which they can not do so we make another appointment 2 weeks later because they were very busy with another 2 week job.

No worries #1.

So the other appointment they show up 2 hours early during lunch and just kind of force us to see them. Any way our fear here is if we make them wait too long they won't come back. No worries #2, lets just get the job done regardless of not following a schedule. We see clients all day so we really have to follow our schedule.

So 1 week later we are waiting for a quote, no quote to be had so we call to be told someone will call us back. No one calls us back with a Quote. Another 2 weeks go buy and I call today to be told the guy who did the measurement is on leave for two weeks. Mean while I think I am talking to the same guy on the phone.

No worries #3, lets just get this done I say, for third time. Well can we schedule another time for you guys to come in and do another measurement and quote? I am basically told No we are too busy and we should look for another electrician and maybe we will call you next week.

Carlos is fantastic. He is still in the process of performing significant upgrades to our new home's electrical system, and has been doing a great job. As new issues and needs have come up, he has been incredibly helpful in offering solutions and adding work for reasonable fees.

Carlos is also a terrific communicator, and has taken the time to talk through some of the more complicated issues we've encountered. He has made our first home improvement experience wonderful. Carlos will be my go-to electrician for all of our future home improvement projects.

I absolutely agree with Paul Y. and other positive reviews. I found Mayan Electric (Carlos) on Yelp and couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism, quality of work and fair pricing.

Carlos just completed electrical work in my condo. I needed to replace bathrooms exhaust fans, bathroom lighting and install new under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. He is very friendly, responsive, responsible and gets the job done is a timely and efficient manner. And his fees were very reasonable and fair.

My Dad had bought a new stove and lo and behold they don't make the power cords as long as they used to! There was only one place to install the stove but the cord was too short to reach the outlet. After going round and round with the stove company on getting a longer cord we thought about bringing the cord to the stove. After calling around for quotes, I was weary about getting jipped by electricians. My landlady recommended Carlos and am glad she did! He was courteous, knowledgeable and resasonable. He added a new outlet quickly and well done. I would definately recommend Carlos and call him again for future electrical jobs.
