Max Electric responded to a project I had sent out to install a 50amp ChargePoint EV charger. They were very responsive via Yelp to my questions. I sent them photos of my panel and where I wanted to set up the charger per their request, and they quoted me $650-850. I had some concerns about all this since I had another business try to upsell upsell upsell and quoted me $12k!!! Max Electric very quickly confirmed my suspicions that I was getting squeezed by the other company, and they reassured me that my panel would be able to take the added stress of the charger (after giving them information about my house, appliance make up - gas vs electric, daily habits etc, all details that the other company didn't bother asking).

They scheduled me within a couple weeks (they offered an earlier appointment but we couldn't make it work with our schedules, and I didn't have the charger yet in my possession).

The electrician who came out was professional and timely (Andrei). My husband did mention that there was a bit of a language issue with the installation instructions (the electrician spoke a Slavic language we think?). The installer was supposed to download the ChargePoint app as part of the installation, but there was some misunderstanding there that was a source of frustration for 10 minutes or so. Ultimately, it was frustrating (for my husband) but at the end of it all, the charger was installed where we wanted, works perfectly, and they charged us $650, the low end of the range they quoted!

I would absolutely call them again if I need any electrical work done based on this experience. Minus one star for my husband's agitation.

estimate/price quote for range hood repair. respond time was quick and although they are not the right company, they recommended or provided another contact that may be able to help work on our problem with the range hood lights

Great communication via Yelp and text messaging, which allowed me to clearly communicate the scope of work of I wanted completed, and the estimated cost. They were very patient and respectful throughout that process as I collected estimated quotes from different companies. Scheduling an appointment was easy and clear. Roman showed up on time the day of, and he worked with a lot of respect, kindness, and patience in our home. Payment was also easy. Great company, well organized, great communicators, good and quick work.

I had to get 2 electrical panels updated (replaced) in a duplex, for insurance requirements. No one likes being forced to do work, and after getting a quote for 10k which gave me major sticker shock, I pinged Max Electric who within a day, quoted me FAR less. I got an appointment that week, which was important as I was under a time crunch. I just wanted good quality work done and to satisfy my insurance.

Scheduling was super easy. They even work Saturday. The ability to communicate over text is appreciated.

Note: Day of the work I messed up and missed their calls to let them into the building. So I was over 1.5 hours late letting them in to get started. I felt terrible. They were not mad at me, (thanks guys), didn't give me any attitude (wouldn't have minded if they did), and got to work immediately. They then finished ahead of schedule.

Super nice and professional. We'll see if the panels stand the test of time. :)

But, anyways, so far, recommend. One thing off my list for my insurance.
