I've had a few services over the past year after moving into a new home. Masters installed a chandelier, a ceiling fan and a few light fixtures, and recently completed a generator installation. After a storm caused a power outage, I found out it gets VERY dark in my tiny cul de sac so I started searching for generators. I shopped around and got the most patient advice, a fantastic price, and a generator installation date within a much shorter time frame than I anticipated.

Gerald explained what size generator would best meet my needs. Particularly during the pandemic, I am often working from home and didn't want to have to choose what appliances or systems would run during a power outage. If I'm investing, might as well make it all the way worth it, right? Anyway, I decided on a 22kw model and although I wouldn't admit it under oath, I want a power outage. Just kidding!!! I got to see what would happen when Christian went through the post installation testing. He turned off the power and the generator kicked on. He walked me through the operation and handed me my keys and a heaping helping of peace of mind.

I would hire Masters again in a heartbeat.

Gerald came out on a Thursday to give me an estimate on installing the generator I purchased from Costco. While they were not the cheapest estimate, The range of estimates I received from other larger electrical shops were much higher. He offered a turn-key proposal that was reasonable. I could tell that he had done a number of installation jobs before.
He and his team were back out the next Tuesday to do the job. They finished when they said they would. The power to my home was only off for a short period of time.
I have not had to use the generator due to a power outage yet, but I am happy to have it just in case...

I wanted to get some electrical work done so i sent out some feelers through Yelp. Masters sent someone out same day which i appreciated. The technician arrived and was very pleasant. I showed him what i wanted done and he told me the cost of $625. It's been a while since i have had to have electrical work done, so i was surprised at the cost and told him i thought it would cost between $300 to $400 and he started laughing and started to leave. I don't think it is right to laugh at someone for their lack of information. But that's ok. I have the last word as who i give my money to. In this case not him. It pays to be professional and respect people.

I used this company recently to replace and upgrade an existing ceiling fan. I rate them 5 stars across the board for - prompt communication, timeliness, expertise and quality of service.

First, I sent an inquiry on a Saturday, not really expecting a response until Monday assuming the regular business window/schedule of Mon- Fri. I actually got a response within minutes and I was able to get a quote based on the job and promptly schedule the service for the following week.

Gerald was at my home right on time, right tools, expertise and made recommendations based on the ceiling fan that I had for the installation. He was patient and answered all of my questions, all around a nice and professional person.

He completed the job seamlessly in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time given all of the pieces in the box. :) He tested the function from the wall and remote and everything was all good. The fan looks awesome.

I am completely happy with my experience in using this company and plan to consider them for future electrical work. I would definitely recommend.

Stay FAR away. We hired Gerald and his team to reinstall a ceiling fan for us. Pretty simple. Unfortunately, during the process, his technician Mike ended up breaking the fan completely - even saying out loud ""whoops, I just broke it"" before leaving our home with no solution. Upon reaching out to Gerald, he informed me that he was ""doing us a favor"" by not charging us for the ""service"" and he would not be compensating us for the broken item. Interesting. I let Gerald know I would be writing this honest review, and I can imagine he will respond claiming the fan was ""broken before they arrived"". Fortunately, I have photos to show that is untrue. If you are looking for a certified team of professionals, choose literally ANYONE other than Masters Electrical Service.

As a side bar - we hired them off of Thumbtack and one hour after I called and spoke my concerns to Gerald, they removed the job from the account so that we were unable to leave a review on Thumbtack - yikes. You only do that if you know you've done something wrong. Shady - just like this business : )

Great experience with Masters! Quick service, good people, quality work, reasonable prices.

Needed just a few small residential jobs done, a new doorbell wired and installed and a new outdoor outlet wired and placed in a somewhat unusual location. I also wanted the new outlet on a switch.

Had one of the larger companies on yelp quote the job first, came out to almost $2000!!!.

Told them no thanks, then called Masters. I figured a second quote couldn't hurt. Masters came out in just a few days and did the job for less than half of the other quote. Even had some issues that made the job more difficult, but they never increased the price.

Very happy with the customer service, work quality and price. Would use again.

UPDATE: I'm changing my review to a four star because Gina, the office manager, called me back and apologized. She said there was a new person in the office and that it shouldn't have happened the way it did. She offered me a discount to make up for their mistake (she said typically you can pay day of service but their system was down that day). I am pleased with the way they handled the situation and followed up with me.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I REALLY enjoyed working with Ray. He was fabulous - very polite and knew exactly what to do. He was also timely and got the job done quick. That said, the poor review is for their office management. We tried to pay for the services we received day of, but apparently we needed to be invoiced (I would have preferred to write a check and be done with it). Our service was done by Ray on a Saturday. On Monday I received a call to pay - however I'm home with a newborn and missed the call. By Thursday I received a note saying that if payment wasn't received that day (this is exactly 4 business days after service) that I would be sent to collections. Really?? That's so unprofessional- send an invoice and allow an adequate amount of time for someone to get back with you especially since you don't allow payment day of service. I couldn't believe they made such a ridiculous threat. I have no intention of using them in the future if that's how they treat their customers.
