I finally found a reliable electrician..
I needed a few outlets put in and a Tesla charger installed. Excellent service, reliable, on time and an all around nice guy which is super hard to come by these days!! I highly recommend Mark from Mass Electric!

Promises made service not kept. Mark was quick to come and check out our circuit breaker problem and replace it with a temporary breaker less adequate and said he would replace it with the correct one. We offered to pay in full including the cost for a new one. He gladly accepted and we have not heard from him since. Multiple texts & calls with no response. We also asked him for a quote on replacing our whole circuit breaker box. Same non response. So hang on to your $$$$$ till he actually does what he says he will do.

Installed a number of new dawn to dusk outdoor carriage lighting at my house and all the bulbs were flickering. My long time electrician retired. I called a contractor friend for a referral and he gave me Mark's number with a strong recommendation for top notch work and honesty!
Electrical in the house is old and I was afraid it was going to be an expensive fix. Mark was able to squeeze me in with less than 24 hours notice and gave me an ETA of 1:00 pm. NOT a window but an appointment.
At 12:59 pm he rolled up to the house. Immediately assessed the problem (all the lights were on old dimmer switches). Easy FIX he laughed! 45 minutes later, everything was working perfectly. Mark had everything he needed on his truck and was more than reasonable in the price he charged.
In speaking with him as he worked, I learned he's been doing this about 40 years and it shows. Low key, easy going, friendly, articulate and super efficient.
I'm happy to say I now have a new electrician! Please don't retire on us Mark!! At least not until we get the rest of the electrical fixed. :-)
I recommend Mark without hesitation.

I hired mark to do the wiring for the fireplace tv. I also had him add a light to my master bedroom. I couldn't be happier with the work he did. I have had a bunch of sub contractors at my house and he is by far the nicest one I have come across, his price was fair, he was clean, and quick. I will be using him again for future electric needs. I highly recommend him.

great work, showed up in a timely manner. mark is very professional and did a great job in my addition and back yard. very dependable, clean,and professional. prices are very fair for the great finished product you will receive.

Just an update on my outdoor lighting situation. Initially engaged services from Mark Schutz sole proprietor of Mass Electric to do my exterior lights, front and back in December of 2017. Quotes are from our text exchanges.
12/19/17 he finished lights and I paid him immediately, knowing Christmas was right around the corner, I figured he'd appreciate it ASAP.
12/21/17 I let him know the front was extremely bright, while the back was darker. Could he move some from front to back. His response ""whatever you need"".
We set up a time to come and see at night.

me: ""missed you last Monday night""
Mark: ""I know I remembered last night...let's set something up for tonight or tomorrow night""
Mark came and saw what I was talking about and said I needed to order more path lights, two weren't working.
2/6/18 I let him know lights were in.
Mark: ""That was quick, I'll confirm my schedule and let you know""
5/18/18 (this is over 3 months since he said he would get back to me, 5 months after full payment)
Me: ""Hey mark, I still need to get those lights working...and I'm noticing there are a bunch of light cables in backyard. (I paid double to have him bury the cables). Please let me know when you can come and address""
(Note: on the phone he said, oh yeah I couldn't bury those cables because of the sprinkler/plumbing. Interesting that I paid double to have ALL cables buried, and then had no bill adjustment for that)

Later in MAY I sent another message on nextdoor.com, since Mark wasn't replying to my texts. Voila, I got a text after that message went out, since his wife monitors nextdoor.com.

TODAY is 8/26/18 (over 8 months since being paid in full) and I have heard NOTHING from Mark. This is so extremely frustrated. Lessons I've learned.
1) Don't pay for anything immediately upon completion. Clearly there was no incentive for him to return in timely fashion to fix any problems.
2) Just because you see rave reviews on nextdoor.com or yelp doesn't mean squat.
Today is 9/3/18 and still not a peep from Mark. What a disappointment, so unprofessional.

Mark at Mass Electric is not only a Master electrician but a great handy man also. He not only showed up on time but called ahead to let me know he was on his way. I had some electrical issues that he fixed quickly & saw my handy man list and took care of those items also. Cleaned up after himself & was very respectful, polite & kind. His prices were fair & reasonable & he does a FIRST CLASS job. He stays busy so make sure to call & make an appt. I HIGHLY recommend him for any job!!!
