Fantastic job! We called around to a few different places and none of them returned our call or weren't available for a while. KA Electric answered our call and was actually able to come do the job same day! He arrived with a face mask on, was super nice, we walked him through what we needed done. We were replacing a ceiling vent/fan and light in our bathroom to a combo fan/light. The original set up we had was two parts - a separate fan and a separate light, but both connected to the same switch. So we wanted to replace these parts with just one combined light fan. The light fan we purchased also included Bluetooth setting and a night light setting! - he installed this perfectly and explained the settings to us too. There actually ended up being more work than we originally anticipated (he had to rework the vent, whoever installed our previous fan didn't do it right). He explained this to us and didn't charge us extra which was nice! Overall the cost was reasonable and the work was fantastic. Highly recommend!

As is the case with most things that break unexpectedly, part of our power went down on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of COVID. I found KA Electric through yelp. He was was one of the few places open on a Sunday afternoon who was willing to travel 40 minutes and give me a free estimate. Turns out we needed a new breaker. Total repair cost was about $100 more than the initial estimate, but that was due to the cost of the breaker. We have an old electrical panel and the breaker is difficult to find. He did a great job. I would definitely recommend him and will keep his contact information for future reference.

He did a great job!!! Half of the outlets in my living room stopped working all of a sudden. Kayed responded to my inquiry right away even after business hours and came out the following morning. He charged a flat fee, which was the lowest I found, to troubleshoot. He checked the circuit breakers, tested each outlet, found the damage to one outlet and fixed it. Since I was very happy with his work, I also asked him to quote for various installation work in the house but his prices for those were quite high so I didn't have those done.

I had KA Electric come 3 times during my home remodel. He was on time and did projects as expected with a fair price. I am going to call him back for exterior lighting.

I had used Kayed two previous times and both times he did a great job.

Even though he had moved down to LA from the San Francisco Bay Area, I had him fly up to San Francisco for 2 days to do a large project in my home -- converting MLV ceiling cans to ELV so that they would work with my home automation Brilliant light switches and Philips Hue bulbs. He also installed a number of LED strip lights.

In this process, he ended up shorting the lights and plugs in the bathroom and told me that he had to make a hole in my bedroom wall to run a new wire up to the attic to get the bathroom lights to work. He did this, and they do work.

For all the work and the flight up, he charged me $2,000 cash. I housed him overnight in my guest room and provided him with tons of coffee.

But since he left, here are my issues with him:

1) He did not repair the hole that he made in the bedroom wall -- which is costing me another $250 to repair and have painted.

2) He did not connect the bathroom switch to the main circuit board so that when I turn off the bathroom circuit breaker, it does not turn off the bathroom lights.

3) All the plugs in the bathroom still do not work!

4) I have a porch light that worked fine before his work and now does not work.

5) I contacted him after he went back to LA, but he never answered my questions about how to fix the bathroom plugs.

It is now going to cost me at least $550 or more to get the stuff fixed that he caused. I like the guy, but based on the experience that I had, I would not recommend him.

I had a really good experience with Ka. I called on a Saturday morning about an outlet install for an over the range microwave and he said he could be there in 30 minutes to look at the work for a free estimate since the appliances were being delivered later the same day. Response rate was amazing. My parents actually realized they already had an outlet installed with the existing vent hood (smh asian parents) and I had to call Ka to cancel the appointment when he was about 5 minutes away. I offered to pay him for travel time and his trouble but he graciously declined and was very polite about it. You don't see that type of professionalism and courtesy these days so based on this experience I would highly recommend Ka and not hesitate to use him for future work. He seems to be a genuinely nice guy!
