I hired Solor Optimum for my solor panels and they contracted with Martinez Electric. They have been nothing but a problem. I find Juan Carlos to be arrogant and not truthfull. He doesn't return phone calls and said he to busy. They were putting in a Electric panel and I didn't like what they were doing but they continued to do it anyways. I told the workers to stop and they called Juan Carlos and he was supposed to call me and never did. You would think if the home owner har a issue with the work being done the contractor would stop working till the issue was resolved, not the case with Martinez Electric. I complained to Solor Optimum and Renne and I discussed my concerns they sent Martinez Electric back to finish up the job and to address my concerns which they didn't and when I questioned the workers I was told it was a code issue. I showed them the code and they said they changed that code. I asked them to show me instead they called Jaun Carlos and he said he personally talked to the Inspector and they had to do it that way. I called inspector and he said that wasn't true and he would come out to the house and talk with the electrician and document it on the plans. When I told them this they wanted to leave. I told them it would be in all parties best Intrest to stay so we can resolve this issue. They worked for a bit longer and said they were going to get something to eat and when they returned they wanted to label the breaker and needed me to be here so I could tell them which circuit they were turning on and off as they didn't want to come in the house cause of covid. They left and never came back leaving me waiting for there return. No phone call nothing. This was typical of how he does business. He has no concern for the customer and for the company that he was contracted through. He disregard what Renne at Solor Optimum told him to do. He sends people out to work on my house and doesn't have the courtesy to let me know someone was coming as they needed access to the back yard. After all the headaches with this company Solor Optuim tqlked to the inspector and came out to fix the issues that we were having with them. They are not sending Martinez back to finish the job. They are sending there own crew to complete the job. I wouldn't recommend this company. And I'm glad Solor Optimum has recognized that this company has no regards to the customer and I was told after other complaints they will no longer be using Martinez electrical

Update to Juan Carlos. I never wanted anything done for free. And the inspector said he would be there in 1.5 hours my call with him was at 1235....your guys left at 210 for lunch. They did say the inspector had not shown up on time. I told that kid they were supposed to be there between 9 and 10 but didn't show up till 1120...are you saying your the only one that can be running behind .... the inspector showed up at 230....why did your guys say they were coming back and have me wait for them ? . Why is Solor Optimum fishing what you couldn't. You knew I had pex pipe we talked about that...2 ground rods wasn't the issue. It was them sticking up several inches when they could be bururied in the ground NEC does not specify they have to be stick up out of the ground. Why did you say on speaker phone that you personally spoke to the inspector and it had to be that way. But on here it a different story ....again lies. As for them ringing my door bell I don't have one....your guys left at 210 inspector showed up at 230....me and my wife watch your guys leave the garage was opened too. As for wanting stuff for free? You worker said he had to cut the conduit of the 2 existing lines 1 for ac and 1 for pool he said they had to run conduit for the enphase panel...he wanted to put a surface mounted j box and run everything through that box as he was doing the work anyways he said it was going to be a cleaner look. You said that was the first you heard of that and wanted 500...I didn't feel that price reflected the amount of work that was going to be done. You were doing most of the work already so it was a surface mount j box a couple fitting and a 3 ft pice of conduit.....there a diffeence with not paying your price and saying I wanted something for free....if you want to say I'm a bad customer because I didn't want ground rods sticking up in my back yard and away from my house with a pool and my grandkids play back there ok then I'm guilty of that. I guess Solor Optimum was bad too because they replaced you and did what you couldn't and it all good know

We hired Juan Carlos to do some electrical wiring for a new swim spa that we had purchased. My husband called several times left several voicemails and no response. On the last attempt my husband did get a hold of Juan Carlos we made an appointment for Juan Carlos to come to give us an estimate. He never showed up, never called to let us know he was going to need to reschedule or he was running late. Istarted looking for electricians in my area unbeknownst to me I called Juan Carlos not knowing my husband had already tried setting up an appointment. He was very apologetic then he did come that day and gave us an estimate, I should've trusted my gut instinct that if he was unprofessional and his work ethic was not great to begin with I should not have agreed to go with him. But I live in the high desert so my options are limited. He did do The pre-wiring for my swim spa we had agreed that once my swim spa would be delivered he would come back to finish the wiring as well as set up the electrical for the swim spa. Once I had the date of delivery I immediately called Juan Carlos to make sure he would be available. He agreed on the date he even told me he would be here at 7 AM to get a early start. 730 comes around he still not here so I called him and asked him if he was still coming. He had completely forgotten that we had an appointment for him to complete the job. He again apologized and said he had an appointment at 9 AM and then he would shoot to my house right after. He assured me that he would come today. It is now 11 AM and still no electrician to be seen. I called him to find out his whereabouts and he says that now he is down the hill and doesn't what time he'll be able to make it. He said he would come even if it was late later on in the evening. I have to say I'm very disappointed in his work ethic and reliability I don't know what's wrong with people thinking they can make appointments and not show up. If you don't want the job then don't take it. My time is valuable I did takeoff of work to be here to have all this done this is a lesson learned I hope you listen to your gut as well if they're flaky from the beginning don't hire them to do work for you is very unprofessional very unreliable and not a very good work ethic. I hope this helps someone else not to make the same mistake I did. Now I'm stuck waiting on him to tell me when he can come and finish the job.I would just like for him to return my money so I can find electrician with a better work ethic.

I've used Juan for a couple of jobs now. He was quick to answer and reply via text messages. He provided his ETA and when he arrived prior to walking up to the door. This is especially important in COViD19 times.

He came out to install recessed lighting and a smart switch. Recently I had him install additional smart switches because I didn't have the electrical knowledge to determine they were 4 way switches. He's a local contractor and I would recommend him for your next job. Thanks a lot Juan.

Great service! Main breaker went out. Juan tried helping me reset it over the phone. That didn't work, so he came over & fixed/replaced it. I would definitely recommend to friends & family. I'll be using his service again, if needed.

I have nothing but positive things to say, he was efficient at giving me prices and was able to come and fix my electric issue at hand with no problem at all. It was a simple fix, but he didn't give me a hard time about the fact I had no idea what I'm talking about I would not only highly recommend, but I definitely plan on saving his info for future use. Pricing is consistent with electricians, I have learned to only go with an actual certified electrician from the get go. This is a service where you pay for it done the right way first and that is worth it!

Wow. I called and got a same day appointment. Juan was polite and very professional. He had my improper wiring up and ready to install my floodlight camera. Very reasonable pricing. I am a happy camper. I will definitely use this service again.

Was looking to have 3 LED recessed lights installed in my living room. Called and spoke with JC (owner), he stopped by the same day to look at the job so he could prepare a quote. I got the quote later that night and approved work to proceed. He came out the next day, explained what he would do, and did a quick, clean and professional job. Very friendly, clean (wore a face mask the entire job) and the price was reasonable.
I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to friends and family.
