We had an electrical problem in our home that was really worrisome. We called because we yelped for an electrician and he was local with 5 star rating. Rob came in the evening the same day after he finished the job he was working on for the day. Even though it was 6:00 pm when he got there, he was pleasant and professional. Rob found our problem even though we didn't know what was causing the power in one whole room and part of the rest of the house not to work. He fixed it at the same time and charged a very fair price. He was neat and personable. Nothing I could begin to complain about. I will call him with any electrical needs I have in the future. Really great!

We'd lost light to a small area of our house and my husband -- tried as he might - could not figure it out! We called Rob who showed up quickly, accurately diagnosed a loose wire, and fixed it on the spot. Let there be light! We are obviously relieved and will now consider Rob our go-to guy for electrical. He's also super familiar with wiring in older homes like ours, having worked in Boston with homes hundreds of years old. Rob is super knowledgeable, explains things very well, and is very fairly priced. I definitely recommend Rob for all electrical jobs - large or small - definitely as good as it gets!

Thanks for explaining. It occurs to me I did not mention you even refused payment for your initial call which I think says a lot about your selflessness or integrity or something. It is certainly refreshing. Other than that I probably get a little defensive about my mom as she believes too much in people.

MEC and Rob (the owner) are the BEST!!!

Rob has personally been out to the house twice for small jobs. Two separate jobs on two occasions. He is prompt, friendly, excellent at his job and has earned our business. I call him because I don't know anything about electricity. He explains exactly what he is doing in terms I can understand.

Bottom line is, we trust him and we like him. Rob and his crew are top notch.

Contacted MEC after an exterior light gave me problems, Rob promptly returned my call and set up a visit. Turns out the bulb I used to replace the burned out one was no good, so, easy fix! lol

While looking into another exterior light issue I mentioned that my kitchen sink shocks me when I wash dishes, he said, ""That's not good!"" Rob then set to task under the sink and quickly resolved the backward wiring problem the previous handy man devised to power the garbage disposal (note: meter registered 84 volts coming from my faucet!!). He suggested a return visit to properly ground the plumbing in the duplex I live in as there could be more problems in the future, I had to talk this over with the owner.

Rob from Mertell Electrical looks to be our permanent contact now for our apartment needs, with courteous service and 30 years of experience I can't give a high enough recommendation!

I was referred to Rob Martell, the owner of Martell Electrical Contractors (MEC), through friends. My electric water heater overflowed and was having serious issues--tripping the breaker, going through heating elements, etc. When my friend called Rob, it was already after hours, but he arrived exactly when he said he would and was extremely nice and professional. He was very knowledgeable, and had my water heater working fast so I could take a hot shower. If you have ever been without hot water for any period of time, you know how disruptive it can be. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a reputable electrician. They sincerely care about their customers, and are knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and honest. I will definitely use them again.

We recently had these guys run electricity to our dining room for a light above our table as well as two sconces. They did great work, are very reasonably priced, easy to work with, and they did a great job cleaning up their work. My place looked cleaner than when they arrived. My son was taking a nap during part of it and they were trying to be as quiet as possible which was very much appreciated. Eventually we are going to have them redo the wiring in our entire house and they are willing to work with us and do it all in one shot or room by room so that we can spread out the cost. I highly recommend this place. The owner Rob is very sincere and knows his stuff. Give them a try!
