I own a dental office in Long Beach and have used Mario several times. He is always on time and very professional. Mario came out to investigate the problem I had with my low voltage system ceiling lights, and gave me a great quote. His crew did a great job upgrading my 70 years old light system. I'm very impressed by professional quality of him and his crew. Out of 3 electricians who came out to investigate, only he spent enough time to really look into the problem and offered different options to go about resolving the issue. On the day of project, everyone on his team was considerate enough to ask me if they should take their shoes off, just by looking at the shoes in front of the door. I appreciated that even though I didn't asked them to. I already asked Mario for a quote for the next project.

I would recommend Mario Castillo Electric. They are very strong with communication and follow up. Always sent reminders, technicians showed up on time or early. I had new wiring and a switch installed for some track lighting in my living room. I did not think to mention when booking the appointment that I wanted the switch to be a dimmer. The tech didn't have one with him, so he put in a standard switch, and they returned another day to swap it out. It's done now and works great. They are very professional. My only issue was that the first team spoke limited English and my Spanish language skills are very weak. We managed, but with a little effort. I would still call them again for future work.

This review is long over due. I hired Mario to do a electrical panel upgrade which went well, then I hired Mario to rewrire my house that went horrible Mario is a nice knowledgeable guy but he hired the worst helpers ever. They started cutting holes in the ceiling without them being aligned. I told Mario and they started cutting more holes in the ceiling trying to get them aligned. Leaving the misaligned holes. No attempt to patch or repair. My ceiling looked like Swiss cheese and he was okay with it.
Mario said he could do the job in 2 days. He stayed until 7pm on the last night not completing the job. He had to come back and finish what he had left. I wish I had taken more pics but I didn't think of it at the time.
If you use this guy, make sure to look over all the work very carefully. There were a lot of corners that were cut.
I have not nor would I use him again.

He was reliable, fast, and economical. He replaced our nine aging living room can lights from the 80s to modern ones. The price was really reasonable. Great experience.

We bought an older home back in July and I was looking for a local, reliable electrician that could help us with some upgrades. I first contacted Mario Castillo Electric to have our electrical panel upgraded and not only did they provide a reasonable rate, but his team was able to install the recessed panel, run a ground wire through the house and patch the stucco all in one day! Just this week I called on their services again to swap some of our recessed lights for new semi-flush mount fixtures and both times I've been really happy with the quality work. Mario's team always arrives on time (if not early), the office communication is great, and we will definitely be calling them again when we are ready to do more work. Highly recommend.

Never expected finding and booking an electrician to be this easy! Loved that this company is fully technologically set up to notify you when your technician is on the way via text, has the option to communicate about appointment time changes/frames via text, when an invoice or deposit is due, and can send detailed quotes and estimates via email within minutes of the appointment ending. They also sent pictures of the finished work along with the final invoice, which I really appreciated. They were so smooth to work with, accommodated our tight time frame and finished the job early. Would 1000% recommend them to anyone, and will definitely be using them for all our future needs.
