Mammoth Handyman
Company Overview
Formerly Mammoth Handyman, I focus on fundamental home services, installations, and improvements. I have obtained my license for electrical contracting and am shifting my focus more on both residential and commercial electrical projects.
I became a member of WECA, an electrical apprenticeship program, with little knowledge about construction. During the five-year commercial and residential apprenticeship, I learned a great deal in all aspects of electrical work. Simultaneously, I studied other trades, sought advice, and gained insights through trial and error.
I finished the apprenticeship program on time in 2010, although I had nearly insufficient hours due to the economic downturn in 2009, which led to a two-year slowdown.
I grew tired of being the lowest-ranked worker on the team. Not wanting to travel for prolonged times, I was laid off whenever work slowed down. Consequently, I chose to forge my own way. Each time I was laid off, I started making moves to establish my own company and develop it into a successful enterprise. It was thriving, but I encountered numerous opportunities for jobs exceeding $500 (the limit for a handyman license), and not enough jobs under that amount. Consequently, I limited the handyman business and focused on obtaining my electrical contracting license.
