Mammoth Handyman
Company Overview
Previously known as Mammoth Handyman, I focus on fundamental home services, upgrades, and enhancements. I currently possess my electrical contractor's license and will shift my focus more on electrical services for homes and businesses.
I enrolled in WECA, an electrical apprenticeship program, with little knowledge about construction. Throughout the five-year apprenticeship in both commercial and residential settings, I acquired comprehensive skills in various electrical systems. Alongside this, I observed other trades, asked questions, and gained insights through trial and error.
I graduated from the training on time in 2010, despite I had nearly insufficient hours due to the economic downturn in 2009, which resulted in a slowdown lasting two years.
I grew tired of being the least experienced on the team. Not wanting to travel for extended durations, I faced layoffs whenever work slowed down. Thus, I decided to forge my own way. Whenever I faced a layoff, I started making moves to launch my own business and nurture it to grow. It showed promise, but I encountered numerous opportunities for jobs exceeding $500 (the limit for a handyman license), and too few jobs under that amount. Consequently, I limited the handyman business and worked towards obtaining my license as an electrical contractor.
