I called Makena Electric based on a referral from Redline Electric when they could not fit me into their schedule right away.
3 of the 5 outlets that Makena installed needed to be rewired by a different electrician.
My experience was not at all like the glowing reviews here.

Andre is the man!
We called him based on his stellar yelp reviews to help us with a last minute issue that came up with our outdoor lighting. He came in short notice and was able to repair what 2 others couldn't.
He restored the lighting for us and we were able to enjoy our Christmas party thanks to him.
That's not all; Andre was honest, reliable, reasonable and a pleasure to have around. We will def use his company again!

Another great service call from the best electrician out there. Andre came out again and switched our family room lights out to LED. He's truly the best there is. Thank you, Andre!

Recently contacted Andre about installing 3 ceiling fans: 1 to replace an existing fixture and 2 in bedrooms where there were no overhead lights or boxes.
Andre told me what would required, including time, labor and charges, and fairly laid out expectations. He did a great job, arrived as promised, talked us through options when the original construction did not allow us to follow the first plan and the price was exactly what he told us it would be.
I highly recommend Andre / Makena Electric and will gladly call on him in the future.

Highly recommend. I tried to change out all my fluorescent lights myself and it was not going well. I called Makena and they easily identified that I had the wrong bulb and my ballasts were going out. So happy I called them. They made sure the color of the bulb was the best for my bathroom and kitchen. They knew the right size. They went and got the right parts. They did it fast and efficiently . So glad I got the right people doing the right thing for the right job. Next time I'll call them first.

Stop your searching! There is no need to look any further beyond Makena Electric. I can assure you that you will not find a better electrician. You've finally come to the right place. I mean what can I say about Makena Electric that hasn't already been said? I had issues with the electrical outlets in my apartment which rendered my washer and dryer useless and Andre fixed it in a record time. I'm truly happy my neighbor recommended me to him and I can't believe I waited so long to call. I'm finally able to wash and dry my clothes in the privacy of my own home. Thank you Andre! I am grateful I found Makena Electric! I was looking for an electrician to install a Ring doorbell and Ring floodlight camera. I contacted Makena Electric and received a response within minutes. From the beginning Andre had great communication and we scheduled an installation appointment. Andre arrived on time, was friendly, and professional. Andre installed all equipment correctly and made sure it was functioning properly. If I need electrician services again, I will absolutely call Andre! I highly recommend him!

I was looking for an electrician and I called several who were highly rated. All were booked up for longer than I wanted to wait. One of the electricians offered a recommendation for a competitor so I asked him would he allow him to do work for him and he said unequivocally I sure would. Very high praise, so armed with that I called Andre at McKenna Electric. I needed outlets run from the ceiling to install two TV's on each side. I also needed new light fixtures put up. Andre at Makena Electric answered my call on Friday, agreed to come on Saturday to review my job. He showed up at the time he promised , offered me a quote that was very reasonable for the work I needed so I contracted him to come on Monday. Again Andre showed up on time with his helper. The work was done professionally and he was sure to clean up very thoroughly which really made my wife happy. This gets better, Andre finished in half the time he estimated and charged me half the price he quoted. I couldn't be more impressed with everything he did and how much I saved. I reached out to him yesterday Sunday for a very small job. He said he would show up today Monday. He text me to let me know he was on the way. He diagnosed the problem very quickly again resolved my problem all for a service call. Whenever I need an electrician Andre at Makena Electric is my guy.

I'm so happy I found Andre on Yelp because I was looking for a licensed electrician to install my Tesla wall connector. I got a few bids from other electricians who have installed EV chargers and I felt like Andre was very knowledgable and he reassured me that installing a 50 amp sub panel to charge my car at a faster rate at home would not trip my breaker. The other electrician who came by for an estimate refused to install a sub panel and told me to charge at a lower amp, which means it would take longer to charge my car overnight...

His price is very reasonable and the install was very clean. All the work was finished within 6 hours and Andre & Pedro cleaned up in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Andre to my friends and family who need electrical work done. I attached some photos of the job :) Thank you Andre & Pedro for doing a beautiful job with the install, now my car can have some juice at night before going to sleep.
