Romero the electrican is Great! He came ontime and was courteous and professional. I had a problem with the kitchen celing light that did not work, thought it was the light fixture that needed to be replaced but it wasn't.

Romero came and tested to make sure it was not the light bulb fixture that needed to be replaced and told me it was the ballast that was causing the problem. Replaced it with a new ballast and the kitchen ceiling light is working now. I would recommend Main Stream Electric to anyone that needs a electrician and would use them again.

Shane from Main Stream Electric came to our condo to replace some outdated push button switches that control heat lights and an exhaust fan in a bathroom. I also wanted him to look at a non-working light switch in a bedroom. He came as scheduled (in fact about 15 minutes early), gave me a lower quote than I expected and finished the bathroom work as promised. The bedroom work was a quick fix, and he didn't charge for it! Main Steam Electric is FABULOUS! The Sunday after Christmas while out of town, my circuit break went out and my daughter was home alone. The heater and the refrigerator were on the affected circuit. I looked under emergency electrical repair and called them on that morning at 5:00 am. They immediately scheduled an appointment for 8:00 am and could not have been more professional and reassuring on the phone. I spoke to both Shane and Rick and they were both great. Not only did Shane arrive on time, he fixed the issue at hand and did a complete check. My daughter said he was so nice as well as being helpful, knowledgeable and fixed all issues quickly and perfectly. He did a complete check before leaving and left a documented, detailed invoice. Ive been without power in my kitchen for 5 days now. Main Stream Electric promised me on Friday they would come out on Monday to fix the problem. They no called no showed. Messed my whole day up. I will never ever use them again.

at first company seemed thorough and knowledgeable but if you are not as knowledgeable you can be easily scamed. in the end friendly service very dishonest people. make sure you get copies of work done, ladies have a man around they may know a little something. i have recorded voice messages of this company trying to bribe/black male. almost $1000.00 paid out to them and there was so much unsatisfactory business done to list i pray some one else does not fall victum! after having another electrician come out, i am now extreemly satisfied, have a through understanding of what exactly was done in my home for less than half of what they charged and my spirit is able to rest.

Problem: Half the house circuitry lost power.
Solution: Shane Halstead from Main Stream Electric to the rescue. He diagnosed and fixed a burned out wiring on one socket that fed the rest of the electrical circuit.

I found Main Stream Electric through Yelp. When I called for service I was impressed that someone answered on a Sunday afternoon offering for a technician to come out but with a weekend service charge or on Monday for free estimate. I chose for Monday and free estimate ;-)

When Shane (owner) and Rick (tech) showed up, they were courteous and professional. Shane did some troubleshooting based on what I've described then gave me 3 options or quotes with detailed explanation. Using his experience and knowledge of older homes he used old school troubleshooting to pin-point the problematic electrical socket without the need of expensive equipment. Although the expensive equipment may have given him more insight into the rest of the circuitry, I knew enough of electrical work that I can manage and fix the rest based on his visual inspection and recommendation. I just needed the root cause fixed. They were in and out within the hour. They cleaned up after themselves with my full satisfaction.

I asked Shane some questions about his business and was very forthcoming. I really felt comfortable with this electrician. Now I have a service I can trust and comfortably refer.

I asked Shane about a computer room problem I have at my place of work. He said there is a solution. I've scheduled for him to come by for a quote. I'll write a followup review on that after the job.
