I would highly recommend Ertan from Magnolia Electric. He is punctual, honest, and reliable. He shows up on-time and does the work himself (or with one other person). He updated my electrical and added 2 new outlets and did a great job at a fair price. He is hard working and highly knowledgable. I would hire him again for any other electrical or general contractor work.

For the first few times I worked with him I highly recommend. He did a lot of different things for my home and is a really nice and reliable person. He did electrical work (new panel, dedicated circuits, new outlets and light fixtures, etc...) and also built some walls for us. Really reasonable prices and someone that I enjoyed chatting with.

BUT I reached back out to home for a few small projects and a fairly major one and he never responded and blew me off. I wish he would have told me that he no longer wanted to work with me. I called and emailed several times and he never got back to me. Very nice person that I'm guessing didn't want to tell me that he didn't want to work with me again.

Everything you read on yelp is true. Reliable, speedy, honest and fair prices. I really couldn't ask for anything better. So impressed by how well Ertan solved the problem, knew what he was doing, had a great attitude and was experienced to know how much or little to do. I give my highest recommendation and you will not be sorry. ME is exactly what you want from an electrician and I would gladly hire him again if we have problems. Basically, ME is as good as it gets in my humble opinion!!

The outlets were not working in one of my rooms. I called a couple of electricians before calling Magnolia. Everyone started giving me the price per hour and travel charge etc.
When i spoke to M.E, i was asked to do some quick checks and turned out it was something very simple(reset of a tripped switch). He saved me a lot of $$. But, didn't expect a buck in return. Great business. Highly recommend them.

Hired Ertan and magnolia Electric to do some recessed lights in my kitchen and living room. They were a little cheaper than the 2 other electrician's estimates. But hired them based on my confidence in their ability.
They started and finished the job on schedule and on budget. They had good communications during the job and did a nice job with the installation and drywall patching.

Ertan and Magnolia Electric are my heros. I had a horrible electrician for my major renovation who over charged me and I did not believe would get through the inspections. Ertan came in at the last minute, got the work done in a timely manor, was reasonably priced, and knew exactly how to get everything though inspection.

Plus, he is a nice guy and great to work with. I would hire him again in a second.

Ertan and Magnolia Building just completed extensive work for our condo conversion project in San Francisco and I highly recommend working with their team. After receiving bids from several contractors we chose to work with Magnolia for their clear understanding of our complex project and for their proven experience completing projects on time and on budget.

After a week of efficient work and Ertan's expertise the project passed the city inspection easily. Our 1890's house is full of surprises but Ertan and his team were nonplussed - even unraveling some major wiring issues to divide power between the 2 units along the way.

I've already recommended Magnolia to some design colleagues and I look forward to working with them on future projects.

I am not sure what everyone is talking about here - this is about the worst experience I have EVER had with a service company. That is saying a lot because I live in a 1890 house and have been in need of help with things like this for 25+ years.

I found Magnolia here on Yelp (like I find most things it seems) and called them during business hours and got voicemail. I left a clear message about the work:

- a very simple job of replacing some very old light fixtures on a 12 foot ceiling
- 4 possible days for the following week that this could be done.
- my cell number along with best times to call back to schedule.

Here's the weird part: 1.5 days later, I got a text from a # that I didn't recognize that read ""May I leave, door does not lock"". Being a good citizen, I texted back saying ""who is this"". I got another text back saying ""sorry wrong #. this is the electrician that you called."" Naturally I texted back reminding whoever what my job was and that I still needed to set the appt.

I heard NOTHING back.

Being a usually satisfied Yelper, I thought this must be a mistake so I called again on Monday. SURPRISE - I got voicemail. I left another clear message and asked for a call back by this morning. 2nd big surprise: I heard NOTHING again.

I just called another electrician.
They are coming tomorrow. Not problem, no voicemail, no fuss.

My advice to you: AVOID the hassle and try another company - maybe this place was good at one time but obviously they don't care about customers.

I highly recommend Ertan and Magnolia Building. Honest and priced resonably, could not ask for more! I got 4 quotes for a job setting up poswer in our office and not only was he the best priced but he came the same day to give me a quote and did the work the next day. We will be calling him back for sure!!! Thank you Ertan!
