Had Marques come to put in a Tesla charger. He showed with in the time given. was very professional and an all around nice guy. His bid was fair and I had him do the install. Arrived again as agreed and had the charger set up in no time. He fix some wiring issues I had and completed the install perfectly. if you need a quality electrician call M&M.

Our home warranty company contracted with M&M to install a new bathroom exhaust fan.
Tech did not put a drop cloth, prep the area in any way prior to beginning work. Despite asking multiple times if we wanted a fan with a moisture sensor (more expensive) and being told no each time, still installed that fan. Bathroom was a wreck when he left, had to clean the area, replace multiple ruined possessions (dropped spackle which hardened onto surfaces) and paint everything ourselves afterward.
Horrible experience

I had a very good experience with M&M Electric. I am a service provider, and perform home automation for quadriplegics, most of whom are veterans of our U.S. armed forces. Although I live just south of San Francisco, I cover all of Northern California. This means my work involves going places where I don't know anyone in the trades to help with the completion of my selected tasks, should the need arise. My job involves ""light construction"", but I am not, by any means, a qualified electrician. Once I assessed the scope of this particular job, It was clear I needed to sub the electrical work out, so I contacted Home Advisor, and they referred M&M. I spoke with Marcus and described the work to be done. I informed him we had a few weeks lead time, so I asked how much notice he would require, and he said a couple of days would be fine. We didn't speak for a while.
The time came to do our work, and I called Marcus to make the appointment. On the day of our appointment, he arrived by himself, on time and ready to work. Although the task of adding a receptacle seemed pretty routine over the phone, once he opened up the wall, it was clear, due, to the placement of a header, he would have to find an alternate method of accomplishing our goal. It did not take him long, and he completed the toughest part of the job. The next task involved interacting with the client. All interaction with Marcus indicated he was comfortable communicating with people, so at that point, I asked him to take direction directly from the client. This allowed me to continue my work without having to worry about micro managing anyone. I was very happy at this point.
As time went on, speaking with the client, they changed the scope of the job midstream, but M&M had already done what we requested in a quick and efficient manner. Our only misunderstanding with Marcus which followed was payment. I'm not sure how he wanted to handle it, but not having discussed this prior to our meeting, I offered a credit card, which he was not able to work with...Oh! Well...When I told him I could write him a check, that was fine with him, however, as I had not brought my checkbook with me, we agreed I would mail it to him when I got home in a couple of days. We communicated again when I actually mailed the check out to him, and straightened everything out. I feel comfortable working with Marcus in the future, and will call M&M, should I require another electrician in the area.

Mixed review, which I'm sure no one even reads from the company. Marcus was quick to respond and I truly appreciated that since no other electricians bothered to return phone calls. I explained the problem and he said sounded like an easy fix, which turns out it was a simple case of the wrong fuse in the fuse box and all was fixed. However, the price to replace the fuse was $350!! I thought that was a little extreme. It maybe took 10 minutes. I talked him down to $250 but thought that was a little extreme. He knew I was desperate and I think took advantage of that.

I was referred by Home Advisor whom I've received great referrals for my rental and my home. I was a little taken back that they did not contact me for the electrical job once Home Advisor contacted them. I went the extra mile and contacted M & M and I was provided a time they could perform the service. They instructed me to text my address and they would be at my home around 4 pm the next day. I asked for a confirmation and they neglected to do so according to my texted info.
I called to follow up this morning and was provided the run around that they may not be in my location and would call me later. After another text and phone call I was told to find someone else. I wish they would have told me this initially and didn't waste my time and put a dent in my schedule to make plans to be here. Very unprofessional and I wouldn't use them if they were the last electrician around. I don't appreciate providing my address information which is confidential to some one so unreliable and unprofessional. I'm done!

Marcus could not build a dog house correctly. Joke of a so called business that does not even pay it's bills. That job would have a lein still Marcus if we did not pay the bill to the lighting supplier. I highly recommend not to use M&M Electric on any projects you may have, large or small find someone else who actually knows what they are doing.

We hired Marcus in July 2013 for adding a 240 Volt outlet in our backyard for our jacuzzi hook-up at our house in Pleasanton, CA. He was very professional and friendly. His crew showed up (4 men) and it took them 4 hours to install the electrical cable under the house. However, one of his men accidently drilled a hole through our guest shower stall, thinking he was drilling under our bathroom floor (see photo). The employee was very upset and apologetic and he promised he would fix the issue. However, 3 weeks later the hole in the shower had still not be repaired. This is when my husband contacted the boss Marcus (owner of M&M Eletcric) and Marcus told us that all of the men that work for him are independent contractors and thus they are responsible for the damage they cause and he was not responsible for it. We again contacted the man who drilled the hole and damaged our shower and he stated that he could not afford to fix the shower because the hole was too big to be repaired since it is over 4-6 times the size of a quarter which is the maximum size of fixing a hole. The man (Jonathan) stated that he wanted us to find the cheapest alternative and he would pay for it and so we researched online trying to find different sheets of acrylic to fix the problem but the main issue was that all of the shower would need to be ripped apart in order to get to the area that was damaged. Jonathan, the employee of Marcus showed up over labor day weekend with his co-workers and removed the entire shower (see photos). he was suppose to return to put in another shower however......that is were the communication stopped. No return calls from Marcus or his employee, Jonathan with us.
Currently, It has been close to 10 weeks since this happened and we still have no shower. We recently contacted the CA contractors licensing board and they
told us to contact the business insurance and open a claim. I really hope that no one else has to endure with what we have gone through--remember to do your research on this company so that you do not have the same issues that we have had.
**UPDATE** Our shower was finally repaired November 2013 due to this review!
***January 2014- Our electrical did not pass Pleasanton inspection--we were told that the electrician should have added more amps to the panel. Everything will need to be pulled out and started over. Please Do your homework and get multiple quotes!! Just because someone seems like a good deal does not mean like it is a good deal!

Very Happy with my decision to go with M&M. We bought a bank owned home that needed a lot of work. Electrical was the first order of business. Lined up three different contractors, Marcus was first to show, gave quote on the spot, willing to address/correct oversights, miscommunication, and new ideas that came up during the work. He was also very instrumental in recommending the type and placement of lighting as well.
Marcus did all interior and exterior lighting. Very pleased with his work and would use him again.

Marcus and his M&M Electric team are top-notch. He provided us with a detailed free estimate last Wednesday and his team was at our home on Saturday installing outdoor electrical outlets, a new power line to our outdoor patio, and a front security light. His team was prompt, professional, and very courteous. I will call M&M for any future electrical work on our home. Thank you!

We called M&M on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend because our double oven wasn't working (we had already called an appliance repairman who checked one thing and then said ""It's electrical, I can't do. Call an electrician."" Marcus called us back within 15 minutes. After describing the problem, he suggested a handful of easy fixes that it might be (as he said, ""I hate charging people when it is something that easy."") When none of those worked, he said he would come out himself the next day. He was very persistent to figure out the problem, even after it seemed like it was probably the oven (most people would have probably stopped at that point). It turned out it was wiring at a junction box in the wall. Once he figured out the problem, he was able to fix it quickly. Despite coming out on a Sunday and ending up being forced to do quite a bit more work than he expected when we talked on the phone, he stuck to his original estimate (which was completely reasonable). He was friendly and professional the entire time. I would highly recommend Marcus and his company for everything from minor troubleshooting to a complex job. As a side note, it turned out the problem was bad wiring by a previous company (I don't know who otherwise I'd mention that here) which could have caused a fire. If we would have kept trying to use the oven, it could have easily sparked and/or caused a fire.
